That spiral staircase is bitchin'.
I'm totally fucking jealous, me and a couple of my friends are getting an apartment soon, shame we dont have any apartments in our area nearly as fucking nice as that.
am I the only one who noticed the fish eye lens on that camera? Argh r8 m3 l8
What exactly does that cover? And is that usually 15-25 a person, or the lump sum?
Covers your shit if it gets stolen, fire, bullet holes, or destroy somehow. It's a personal policy, usually if you have car insurance, get it from them, possible discount. Your landlord covers his own shit, not yours. Also the insurance price I said usually is month by month. [editline]12:54AM[/editline] Also it would be dumb not to get renter's insurance.
@ LeYang, Don't really need it in my opinion, my two roomates are very responsible. I'm not too worried about it.
Iowa is a shitty state, with shitty weather, and nothing to do. If you don't think so it's just because you've never lived anywhere better. And unless you think you're at significant risk, virtually all insurance is just throwing your money away. Renter's insurance is for people who live in bad neighborhoods or who are bad with money.
Oh you silly Californians, always think you're better than everyone else. Obviously you never lived in Iowa, or perhaps lived in some small town and just assumed all of Iowa was the same. And I love the "If you don't think so it's just because you've never lived anywhere better." part. You make a total idiot out of yourself (even more so) when you assert random assumptions. For your information I've lived in St. Paul & Minneapolis in Minnesota, Trenton New Jersey, oh and St. Petersburg, Russia (which has a population of 4.5 million). Shitty whether... Please, the summer wheather is amazing here. And nothing to do? Perhaps the problem is your lack of friends to do "things" with. Go troll elsewhere.
how much are utilities? also, nice place
All utilities are included except for electric.
I don't see a problem when I get good grades. And even though my parents are paying for all of my college, which I'm obviously incredibly grateful for, I'm still going to pay them back once I land myself a nice job after college. I'm thinking of getting them either a Lexus SUV (my mom has always wanted one, but we had to get a mini-van instead when they had my sister because we travel a lot), or a boat.
A boat? Seriously? You want to buy your mum a bleeding BOAT? That's the worst thing you could buy for a mother. My parents had two boats once, they were a bitch to maintain after so many years so they sold them.
That looks really nice. I'm moving in just over a week to Pennsylvania. Lived at home my whole life, I'll be living in a nice apartment when I move. I've wanted to live in an apartment rather than a house for years now. Pretty excited.

get contents insurance. not doing so is entirely stupid. hopefully you won't need it, but if you look around you can get insurance designed for students. i think i've paid something like £50 for my contents insurance from the same people who insure my car. you probably won't need it but you'll be kicking yourself if you spill a bottle of wine over your laptop and trash it or someone breaks in and steals your ipod and laptop.
Pretty fucking cheap for you but it's $420 a person and there's three people right? That would be $1260 a month for a single person which is pretty crazy. Even if utilities are included that's still pretty damn steep considering I know of 4 bedroom houses with 2 full bathrooms, loaded kitchens, and sizable yards for $1300 a month.
That place is awesome man, good work :)

$420 each? Jesus christ that's fucking expensive, I had my own apartment for less than that.
I've rented many apartments and houses in my time, and here is one important and significant tidbit of information: Did you sign and pay a security deposit? Or did you sign and pay a cleaning deposit? There IS a difference. The security deposit means that any unfixed damage to the apartment at the end of the lease comes out of the deposit (you don't get your deposit back). A cleaning deposit means that you must have the apartment as clean as when you started when the lease is up, which means you have to clean it before you move out. Personally, I'd rather lease under a security deposit. Cleaning an apartment after a year of living SUCKS. But then, you you're having wild parties, then not having a security deposit isn't bad (look in the terms of your lease about damage, though).
For your information I've lived in St. Paul & Minneapolis in Minnesota,
Hick towns.
Trenton New Jersey,
Hick town. Please, the summer wheather is amazing here.
Summer is great most places. It's your WINTER weather that is dog shit. Iowa is cheap for a reason - People don't want to live there.

Busted my ass cleaning the damn place after about 18 months of living there and still lost my security deposit when they replaced the carpet due to a stain that was there when I moved in.
I might be in Pennsylvania this summer, either that or in Quad Cities, Illinois for my internship.
It's great there. I'm sick of Michigan, can't wait to move.
Looks great. Start a gay furry mansion. (does nobody recall that thread)
It's the same place
California = hick + gay state
Ha ha ha ha ha oh my god! Rated funny.
Very nice.

Nice place, I need one of my own.
Only bad thing I can see is there's no double bed
yeah double beds are the way forward
I'm eventually going to look into leasing an apartment with a few mates; but I'll do my first quarter or two in the Art Institute of Atlanta before I decide to move out.
California = hick + gay state
please point out the hicks. not denying the gay thing though that's totally true
