Not exactly the best support but I appreciate you sharing that story.
moving out was one of the best things to happen to me I hope you grow to like it
anxiety over living alone is normal. i had a panic attack the first few nights when living on my own for the first time. finally becoming independent is a scary thing. just embrace the fear, do your best, and things will probably work out alright.
whoa you have your own place? I'm coming over, we can wear fedoras and talk about men's rights
Living on my own was the best experience of my life. However I was splitting it like 4 ways with a bunch University students. My sister and her boyfriend are a young couple both of which have been able to live off little money but are both happy and I'd say successful in life. They do what they love to do and they're not rich but they have each other and are always doing something new. Life is what you make of it!
Sorry if this sounds like it's meant for fast threads, but I'll post here. Earlier today while I was out with my mom eating breakfast, we we're talking about finding a new house in the neighborhood (legal reasons as to why I'm moving) and while I was telling her about how attached I am to the house (grew up, a lot of stuff happened there) she kept mentioning how the new house was up to me to make it the home I want. After catching on, I asked her why she kept mentioning me and the new house, to which she told me the house was gonna be mines. After clarification, she finally explained how the house was gonna be mines, bills and all, I'll live alone with my own things, basically starting my new life. Hearing that caused a wave of anxiety to wash over me, but she explained how her and my dad were gonna live with me to help me, but when the time comes that I can handle myself, they'll move back to Chicago. What makes me anxious is that I'm afraid it'll all be too much to handle, I feel like I'd either have a job to keep me living good, but I won't be happy, or vice versa. Every time I hear about living on your own It's always bad. My question is, how do you guys who live alone do it? Any advice you can give me? It's gonna be a while before I do, I'm 16, but I the anxiety still hits me.
I'm curious, what legal reasons?
just think, you can fap to futanari anytime you want and no one can stop you no one
Has to be done eventually.
STAY STRONG BROTHER! that's all i can say
Thank you. I accept I will. But as rhe days go on my anxiety goes away and I feel mote confident in myself. I was talking to my friend today and we agreed that if he were to move in. He had to be able to support himself.
I moved out and got my own apartment two months ago. You'll grow to enjoy it, and the anxiety will pass. It's a big step and comes with a lot of responsibilities but it's well worth it.
Oh yeah when you do move out give it a shot trying to get an allowance. Since I've moved out the government has given me an allowance of around $250 a fortnight (because I study at uni full time), and although it only just covers the rent alone that is still $250 of assistance every fortnight. I also got a 'moving away from home' scholarship of a few thousand dollars which was pretty cool, but I kind of had to live off of that until I found work.
Thanks I'll keep it in mind!
The freedom and independence of living away from your parents you will find is amazing.
If it helps, me and my family used to live in the Chicago area, and health clubs over there are good places to find a first job, especially over there where they can pay a lot more. No experience, but you can potentially make well over minimum wage right away.
Thank you but I'm still gonna be living in Detroit. Maybe I'll take up my moms business. Thank you everyone for the advice I really appreciate it! This my first thread that actually has the rates show on the thread view. Don't know. Makes me feel happy haha. Mt anxiety is gone and I'm getting confidence little but little now. Again, thank you all!
I was anxious about living on my own at first too, but now that I've done it I don't think I could go back to living with parents. The independence is great and no one judges me if I stay up until 4am.
I'm the only person who judges me when I do that :p.
I'm the only person who judges me when I do that :p.
Then look in a mirror and say 'fuck you I'll stay up alllll night its my house I do what I want' then immediately regret that decision because going a whole night without sleep is retarded.
Wait, seriously do people move out when their 16? Like...in general? Because ill be living at home until I go to university (UK University so till I'm 18 and a bit years old). I didnt even know your could own your own house at fucking 16 jesus. Edit: Currently about a month till I'm 18 btw.
I absolutely can't wait to live on my own. I'm 21 and I'm sick of hearing my dad shitty jokes and my brother making a damn mess out of the bathroom Gotta finish college first tho

It's actually why I was anxious in the first place.
I moved out (or rather my parents moved away) about 6 months ago. Living out of home is scary, but incredibly rewarding. It's an entirely unique experience holding the key to your home, and by your home I mean YOUR home, nobody elses. It really does become much more your own space because you can do whatever the fuck you want with it. Finances are hard though, make sure you can support yourself to some degree before you move out. I make between 300 and 400 a week and that only just covers the bills + rent, my parents help me a bit (but not a lot) it's a struggle each week to cover the bills but I do it. You really wanna have some form of stable income before you move out, expenses add up fast. Also save up a bit before you move out, buffers are nice (I didn't get the luxury of a buffer, I've been running on a nearly empty bank account since I moved out) there are a lot of hidden costs (if you're renting, bond, if you're purchasing a house your deposit) not to mention shit like hookup fees for gas, power, water and electricity. But like I said, totally worth it. I love my parents and I loved living at home but having your own place is amazing. (Also get a roommate, it's good to have someone to talk to)
Today should be the day I find out when I can go sign my rental agreement. It's all quite exciting because it'll be a place for just my best friend and I. Even though I've been out of my parents' house for the last 7 or so months I still have been living with my sister and her kids so my home life has been far from quiet and peaceful. It'll be nice to finally settle into a place that I can call mine.

OP, heres a tip - Make a conservative budget. If you make, for example, 2000/month, dont spend 2000/month. Spend less then you make. Theres many benefits to this, the main one being that you save money. Also, don't be afraid to splurge every so often.
