I get partial lucid dreams. They're quite random but almost always possible in real life. The randomness being slight differences.. like driving my truck in Arica Harbor from Bad Company 2 and trying to get it down the stairs cause we were being shot at and mortared (real life feel, not like the mortar you use in game).
And yet it has no characteristics of being lucid.
And yet it has no characteristics of being lucid.
Well I think I didn't just give enough detail. The dreams that are like that I end up remembering quite easily, like I actually lived it. But I have almost full control over it.. I just can't do anything in the dream that's not logical. That's where the line ends up being. I can't spawn things or do whatever for the most part.. other then opening a garage door and having the car I want be there or something. I'll try to focus more on the dreams, maybe I'm closer (or farther..) to it then I thought.
How can I tell when it is about to happen. And if It is about to happen, to stop it from happening, I just hold my breath for about 5-10 seconds? I want to see how it is. Just like the others, I want to do this, but I am scared :saddowns:
So no one will reply?
wouldn't sleep walking be the opposite of sleep paralysis
Well I made a sleep paralysis last night. Excepting the fact that I couldn't move (which is already not cool :( ), didn't saw anyhing
Going to try this right now. It's 2 am and i was just about to go to bed when i saw this thread. :buddy: I'll report in tomorrow.
Well, i sat on my bed for about 30 minutes when i gave up, my back started hurting :saddowns: So didnt work for me.
Most of you guys need to harden the fuck up. the WILD technique of lucid dreaming. A technique used by myself and millions of other people around the world requires you to trigger sleep paralysis before entering your lucid dream. If any of you pussies actually get scared of a FICTIONAL DREAM, you need to eat a spoon of concrete. Swallowing will snap you out of it. Gosh.
I wanna try this but I'm shit scared of what might happen
lolwat, I don't understand why would you be scared <.<
Tried to lucid dream, but i fell asleep :frown:
I tried this. Lay completely still for about half an hour. Felt my body go numb. Nothing happened. I fell asleep after another 10.
This happens to me sometimes involuntarily. However, I don't hallucinate, I just can't move and then eventually fall asleep. I also get the "big head" feeling someone mentioned. I tried it on purpose last night and my head started itching way too much to continue.
Tried it last, I heard a loud buzzing and felt my body go numb but then i got to excited and it stopped
I get this a lot without wanting it :( the last time i had it, i couldn't see anything and there was this horrible screaming that seemed to last forever. when i woke up, i found it was the sound of my fan amplified. God it was like somethign out of Yume Nikki
I've stopped trying what is here, but I've very recently started trying out Lucid dreaming. I managed to get mere seconds in, as far as I can remember. But this is dearly interesting because once you get a hang on this you can do anything to the limits of your very mind- Inside your head! [editline]12:34AM[/editline] It's like day-dreaming but awesome.
Why would you want this to happen? It's fucking horrible. Only had it once but I thought I was having a stroke or something. Frozen solid and could hear lots of strange voices in my room. Started shaking and woke up scared shitless to go to sleep again.
I retired this night. All I got was a cramp when I woke up. I guess Lucid Dreaming isn't for now :D
I get the sp, and see faint random stuff. How do I get further?
I can't do this. 1st: I get back pains the day after if I lay on my back. 2nd: I can't sleep on my back, so if it doesn't work for me, I will never get to sleep.
I read the Lucid Dreams thread, and managed to get to a part where it felt as though I was slightly opening double doors with my chest, but couldn't find the way to get them open past a crack
I heard this causes cancer and communism.
I slept somewhat on my back and I had a bad nightmare, but nothing really scary. It was just my dad trying to hit me O.O
I think I saw something like this on 1,000 ways to die. Even though that show isn't 100% believable, it sounds like something that could actually happen. I'm pretty sure it was from sleep par, but she slipped into some state and imagined this demon was crawling on top of her scratching at her chest and about to rip her to shreds. No matter what she did she couldn't wake up or move. She died of a heart attack. Which is similar to claim in the OP. Could sleep par actually be this dangerous? Also, is there a technical term for that "jolt" you get when you start to fall asleep and you imagine falling from something? I had one so bad the other night I felt my entire bed move. Single bed. [editline]503PM[/editline] Nevermind, I got it.
I have don this a lot since i found out about this, and to clarify, you can not dye from this. the worst thing that can happen is if you find yourself and ask what your deepest fear is or looking in a mirror. this will cause you to wake in pure fright, and not be able to sleep for a few days. also to make sure that you are in the state of a lucid dream, contently ask "Am i dreaming / awake.". and check the time before you try, your mind will know that time has passed, but your the only time you will see is the time you saw before you fell "asleep".
Even though you may not, it may have different effects on others. I see how it's possible to die from this though. If you slip into a such heavy state of sleep par that you imagine something you fear so greatly that your heart beats faster and faster, you blood pressure rises and eventually causes you to have a heart attack.
You could have a heart attack, but you would already have to be susceptible, and then you could get one from any old nightmare.
Gonna try this tonight. Hope some fucker doesn't come and try to kill me or something.
I would try it, but too afraid of what the outcome could be.
Oh my god yes. I'm trying this. Also, I think I remember accidentally doing this by accident when I was about 8 or 9 and saw hot wheels racing on my wall. I woke up in kind of a panic attack with fast breath and a racing heart beat. I don't remember much about it. I can't imagine what's gonna happen when I try it.
Last night I had an SP where I got my neck cut and I could see the blood flow all over my bed.
