Wow this made my life better. When I was 12 I was sleeping and I woke up in the middle of the night and I couldn't move, then A blue demon just came up and under my covers and I shat so many bricks.
one time i had a lucid dream where i was fucking the hottest girl alive while riding on a flying truck with 2 M249s strapped to my back
:smug:
I've being doing this for years. It's very cool, you can even astral project to.
Here is where I learned how to go into sleep paralysis, and lucid dream on my own control.

A lucid dream is one you can control, one you make. Not one where you are doing something, sure it may be something you wish you could do but that is not a lucid dream. In a lucid dream you are aware of your surroundings yet you can't think to hard, if you do you will wake. Understand now?

Astral projecting is just nutty talk from people who dvelve too much into lucid dreams. It's a dream, nothing more and nothing less.
Also, most people cannot do this in one not. Most not even in a month, it takes time, and practice. Trust me.
[editline]07:56PM[/editline]
Yea, I know that but I still call it astral projection. But if you have seen the stuff I've seen then you would believe it's real. Take this for example, someone on facebook asked me if I could travel to there house and tell me what it looked like. Seeing as they only live about 40 miles away, still never been to this part of town. She gave me her address, so I tried the following night. I went to a house, explained the description to her and she was stunned. So believe what you will my friend.
Does the room need to be dark?
Does the room need to be dark?
Let this post be the answer to all "how does my room need to be and do my eyes have to be closed" questions.
You are trying to sleep. So do the same as when you sleep normally. Dark room and closed eyes are obviously a must.

i clicked on that astral viewers site and checked the posts, they're a bunch of hippies with mostly gay avatars
wow im gonna try this tonight
Thanks, can't sleep now.
I felt the paralysis set in but I freaked out. I cut out all the hypnogagiac images and I fell asleep. I think I'll be able to stay calm tonight, though. It's gonna be great.
I love lucid dreams, and think that I probably would definitely shit my pants if this happened to me.
I've tried to do that yesterday, but I fell asleep. I'm not giving up.
Though something different happened today. I was sleeping on the car, cause my stepfather had to drop by our house to pick something up. He parked near a ladder. I was sleeping following most of the advices that you guys gave me, but still, nothing happened, but it's fair enough since it was just a nap. But right when I've opened my eyes, there was this thing moving on the ladder. I then noticed it was a spider. A big and hairy one. I kept staring at it, moving VERY slowly on the wall, just to hide behind that ladder. I did nothing but watch it and I didn't take my eyes off that ladder. Then, I kept thinking about it and when my stepfather got out of the house I immediately yelled: "Look out for the spider behind that ladder!", he moved it, and nothing was there. Was my mind playing tricks on me?
Was I almost entering my dream when I did that?
It Worked.
You know how sometimes houses make like tiny cracking noises? Well when I tried this and erghh..Fell Asleep? Anywho the house started to cracking uncontrollably and the roof came off and there was a MASSIVE TWISTER. :byodood:
Also - I don't think I am EVER going to try this again.

Fuck yeah hallucinations!
Nothing good has come from sleep paralysis in my life. If you actually suffer from it, yes suffer, it's a god-awful affliction.
Fuck yeah hallucinations!
What do you think about my hallucination? The spider one, right above that guy's post.
it's a junk statue.
That's a pretty cool statue then!
The buzzing wasn't that loud, it might have just been that strange buzzing-tone you get in perfect silence, or is that just me?
I want to try this for the lucid dreaming, but I'm afraid of the nightmares. Should I do it?
Anyways, Anyone know hypnic jerks?
I had this in class, i fell asleep and then i woke up, startled as fuck. My classmate laughed and i felt like an idiot.

your soul is stolen by the devil

o wait
Sounds like an interesting experience if nothing else
I've done this multiple times, but never fuckin' got to lucid dream. I'm pissed.
I hear whispers in my sleep.
There's no reason why I would ever want to induce this artificially. I get sleep paralysis naturally in bunches multiple times a year and it scares the hell out of me every time. Last time I had it which was a few months ago I heard a muffled voice screaming. Also, you can hold your breath to wake up from this shit? Damn, the only way i've been able to get myself out of it is jerking my body - which is difficult as hell because you have almost no strength.
It happened to me while i was sleeping over at my cousins house, tried to scream to get him to notice but it did not work, after a few seconds I began to gain control.. this happened as i was waking up from my sleep. shit was scary.

When you do it 'artificially' you KNOW what's going on, and can remain calm. I've done this a heap of times and only once I was scared. That was my first try because I didn't actually think it was going to work, after that it's pretty much 'hey, this isn't so bad'.
This happens to me quite frequently, scary shit is annoying, you are thinking of nice things like girls you like then fucking g-force gets 100x multiplied, you can't move, and all that "oh god what the fuck is happening thoughts", and if you dare to open your eyes, you can see the monster or eyes out of shadow and, not to mention buzzing.
That is reason that I am afraid to sleep alone in dark.
Never...never open your eyes if you are in a sp.
NEVER

Even when you know whats happening it can still be scary. The first time it happened to me I didn't hallucinate or anything, I just couldn't move. Fortunately I looked it up and found out it can come with hallucinations because I would've been scared shitless when it happened to me again. The first time I hallucinated, I heard screaming and it felt like someone was shaking me and I felt a hand on my head. I knew that it was sleep paralysis but it was still scary as hell.
