I read somewhere that the universe is at minimum now about 10 to the 27. I don't think it would be possible for other life not to exist with a universe that big. Just think about how big the sun is, then think how big the galaxy is. That galaxy is basically an atom in the universe in a sense.
I don't think they are among us though. They must exist 1 way or another but I doubt it on earth.
