Yes I did. Unless you have strict laws or are playing real close up, 250-300 fps is a bit weak considering all the stuff people wear.
TM AEGs just aren't worth in anymore IMO. Sure their internals are great, but their externals are not worth the asking price of a TM gun. I'd rather get a CA or G&G and upgrade its gearbox, especially since internal upgrades are a lot cheaper than metal bodies. Compare a good G&P metal body for $120+ to whatever internal upgrades you feel are necessary, say maybe $50 worth of good internals.
Unless TM sells something you can't get with any other company. They're the only company that makes a Type 89 AEG for example. (The only good one)
And their EBB are pretty cool too.
My friend has a Type 89 and it broke on the second game he used it.

But insanely overpriced and hard to find. With the SOPMOD, you have to buy overpriced mags and a $60 8.4v battery, and I think the special charger is like $30. Which reminds me, Systema brags of "Low cost of ownership" when in reality of, say, the cylinder thing breaks, congrats, that's almost $200 you're out. If you want more than 1 mag, you have to spend $180 for a pack of six. Want a battery, you say? Okay, do you want a shitty NiCad for $60?

I can't help but find that hard to believe. There was a 'BE' which was some Chinese company that made a bunch of Type 89's and they were really shitty. I know that Evike even sold them for awhile advertising them as TM and charging TM prices but in reality they were like half the price.

No it was actually a TM, he had it shipped to my house and it had the TM box, instructions and all that.
The BE Type 89 isn't that bad really. Pretty sure the gearbox is compatible with normal V2 parts so you can always upgrade it.
If I knew where to get a BE Type 89 I may.

As for the TM breaking.
Unofficially it's possible.

Timebomb has that same shotgun, the sawn-off one and he likes it alot. It's great what it is, so ask him about it.
As for the other shotgun you were recommended, I can't imagine it being any better/worse but if you had an extra ten or twenty bucks I'd get a TSD, DE, UTG or whatever brands they have. Golden Arrows is a bullshit company that doesn't really exist. It's a china-clone of a china-clone.

I've pretty much given up on the SCAR. If I'm going to splurge on a gun, I may as well splurge on the Magpul Masada (the expensive one, not the A&K).
When I talked with the guys at AEX, they said that Masada is made by KWA. So if I do get it, it will be my money's worth.
