$28 for a set of plastic plates is hardly what I would call expensive. [url]http://www.ebairsoft.com/sapi-ballistic-plate-size-p-2120.html[/url] But if you're cheap, cut 3-4 layers of cardboards to that shape, roll them a bit so they're slightly curved and glue them together.
