Agree'd. Main thing I love about the M14 is how sexy the wood furniture is.

No, those look pretty nice too. My M14 used to have a black stock and I thought it looked quite nice.

All snipers are cheap snipers out of the box, just some fall apart sooner than others. What you'd be buying is really just an inaccurate bolt action POS. Sniper rifles are expensive things, so I would recommend not even trying until you have plenty of money (what is it $400-500 for a good spring sniper build?)
If you want to ignore this advice, the BAR 10 is your best bet. ASGI is out of stock.

Don't get a sniper. The average noob to Airsoft won't have the dedication or patience to use a Sniper. It may look fun now, but when a guy with an M16 and CMags puts 400 rounds your way, and you don't even land a shot on him, you'll understand.
Or if every shot you fire is going off because of the eventual inferior BBs you will probably use and optics that you will probably fail to zero.
I considered going into sniping but realized how impatient I am.
I'm pretty goddamn patient, but I don't think I'll even try being a dedicated sniper yet.
If you want to snipe, get a M14 or something with semi-automatic fire. Bolt-action is more difficult IMO.

I'm going to be buying a sniper myself after I get my M4. I do agree with you though, it takes patience, dedication to stealth, and skill. A lot of of Sniper newbies love to assume they're great at it but don't realize how long they may be laying prone or kneeled in one position for a long time, that or sit under uncomfortable cover like a sappy/thorny bush.
