I already have two other AEGs, but I gave my Classic Army/Gameface I got at Dick's Sporting Goods to a friend as a gift. What do you guys think?

That's the Combat Machine by G&G. It's the blowback version but that's a brilliant gun, get it from Airsoft GI though.

I'm buying the non-Blowback version. The receivers are the best plastic on the market ASGI has a video where they drop it from an 8 or 9 foot ceiling with no damage.

What's pulling the piston back to push the air through the barrel and blowback unit? The motor, which sucks up the battery. It does take power, just not significantly as much as other forms of electric blowback. But for that, it's weaker too.

Weaker in what way, just to satisfy my curiosity? I don't think anyone goes to EBB for any kind of recoil, but does it make a less satisfying clack sound?

All it's powering is a think piece of shiny plastic, hardly makes much noise and no recoil is felt, maybe a tiny vibration at most. If you want a satisfying clack sound with each shot, CA's ABS system is the way to go. It's tossing a fair size piece of metal back and forth and makes a unique sounding AEG. My friends can tell where I am because of it, despite a bunch of other people firing at the same time. It also does give it a slight kick that can be felt.

It just doesn't seem worth $30 more. Unless it has fairly significant recoil.
