I know that the awp is beautiful, you don't have to tell me it is. ;)

dawg, you broke the justin beiber chain
[editline]29th November 2010[/editline]
don be a hater :D
Seriously, one of you should change it. It makes it a lot easier to identify you. Airsplat is bad on so many levels, a friend of mine ordered one of those tri-shot shotguns there, it took 3 weeks to get to him. And it was the wrong one. He lives in California. Also their customer service sucks, he had one hell of a time with getting the right order. In the end he just cancelled it and he managed to get a refund.
"98.7% Orders Shipped & Delivered on Time" my ass.
Also airsoftmegastore.com is a 50/50 split on opinion around here. Evike is hit-or-miss, if you can you'd be best off just driving down there.
Seriously, don't start with a sniper rifle. Get a nice AEG, like a G&G CM series.
I want this. Don't give a fuck if the body is by Matrix, the 1911 is by WE. All for $140? Yeah, I'm in.

I dont get these things. Seriously, why not just get a submachine gun or a similarly sized carbine AEG?
I mean, tacticool stuff in general is ugly, but it least its usually somewhat useful. This is just awful looking and useless.

Because I can still use that indoors. Rather have that as an entry tool, rather than an SMG. I like it.
ugh okay why aren't you guys wanting me to get a sniper rifle?
why are you guys hating?
and does anyone know the best store to buy (airsoft guns) from?
ps... I'm REALLY Into this sniper... :p
Because with sniping, you'll need to sink a shit ton more money into upgrading it, so it's barely on par when you compete with an AEG. Not to mention it'll probably fire too hot, meaning you'll be 100 ft away from everyone else.
Sniping in airsoft can be pretty boring. Why not get a DMR? It's all the fun of sniping, but with less upgrades needed.

Sniper rifles take a hell of alot of patience and you will spend alot of money on them, its not all its made out to be your not going to get many kills if you havent got it upgraded and have good camo etc, its probably best just to get a good AEG because that way you have a decent 'all round' weapon, and if your that into sniping you can whack a scope on it and upgrade it for more range.
I'm guessing your american too so the best shop to buy from would be airsoft GI, everyone on here recommends it.

Because sniping in airsoft isn't like quickscoping in MW2 :downs:
Save monies and get a SAW. Those are pretty fun to shoot
oh okay then :p
it seems that I am the only one getting help on the thread sorry everybody.
could I ask --> airsoft gi does not have the well l96 awp, if it did,i wouldn't be such a pain here in this thread... Are there any good long range AEG's or snipers on that site? Like for instance do you recommend me an m4 or an M4a1 or something? Sorry for asking questions in this thread <: I'll check out that dmr too :).

AR15 platform with 510 length barrel with 350+ fps and upgrade it with tightbore
there, you have a pretty decent sniper/support/assault rifle that has potential to fulfill potential tacticool wet dreams if it has rails
Get an ak though; it's cooler

SMGs dont shoot hot really. And I still dont see how it beats an AEG of similar size.
The reasons pistols small mag capacity is OK is because they are very small. This is like removing the only advantage of a pistol by making it huge.
IRL it might make sense insofar as a longer barrel increases muzzle velocity and reduces recoil, but for airsoft its just pointless.
[editline]29th November 2010[/editline]
Like why would you want a Hera kit, which is almost the same size, over something like this?

Or even a GBB submachine gun like a TMP or whatever?

I get a better deal with the kit above. It's a Rapid Deployment Weapon. And it's a GBB, which works for me. For me, it'd just be for clearing out rooms, buildings, etc. The point of it, is a more stable firing position, and holding it like a rifle, may decrease the user's fatigue. It's preference really.

Get a SR-25. I have one. Awesome range, good FPS, and it's a DMR/Sniper. It'll suit your needs.

Or for 20 more dollars you could get a submachine gun that's full auto, has the same stock, the same amount of rails, would be cheaper to run, would run in the cold, has iron sights, and has much higher capacity mags that cost less and are more reliable than gas pistol mags.
Hmmmmmm
Still like the kit better.

Like, from a practicality standpoint or a "I LEIK IT BECAUSE ITS SHINEY" standpoint? Becasue I can understand where you are coming from if its the latter, I use an M79 :v:
Just dont try to justify it, feel proud to be using a totally impractical weapon :v:

If I wanted something shiny, I'd get an M79.
It's practical if you look at it from its actually standpoint. A Rapid Deployment Weapon. All I need it for is room clearing, breaching, and whatever else I can think of. I have my M4, I have my DMR, I have my 941. This is just another tool. And who said airsoft was practical in the first place? If I want to turn a 1911 into a MEU Carbine, then so be it. At least I'm not getting this:

uhm what is Dmr? :o
Designated Marksman Rifle (I think)
You're correct.

All of those things could be done much more effectively and reliably by other weapons in the same size/price range though. That's what makes it impractical.

More effective by the user, or by the weapon itself? The weapon is the tool, and it works depending on how the person utilizes it.

A user with an MP5K Charger (the one with the rails and M4 stock) will almost for sure beat an equally skilled user with a Hera arms carbine kit. Full auto and bigger mags will rule the day in CQB airsoft.

If I played CQB, I would consider it. I'm a field player.
Designated Marksman Rifle (I think)
thanks.
Not a problem.
If I played CQB, I would consider it. I'm a field player.
You said you would be using it in CQB, did you not? And theres another advantage of the MP5K. It can function more effectively in a field scenario than a gas pistol based gun.
My question for you:
What makes the Hera arms kit more effective than an MP5K Charger? In any scenario.

If you count little villages on a field CQB, then yes, I did say that.
And I just find the MEU kit more versatile, even though they're practically the same. It's also the fact I don't have to deal with wiring and batteries dying on me. Does gas run out quick? Sure. Would I spend more time filling up the mag with BB's and gas? Sure. It's a secondary weapon to me. I'm not saying it's going to be my primary. To me, I like it more than the MP5K, just like how I have a higher preference of weapons over an AK. It all comes down to personal choice.
Personally I've come to hate MP5Ks, mainly because of the people who use them rush the shit out of you in CQB. You're stuck with a 20rd pistol and have to reload every now and then. They just burst in with their 90rd midcaps or 200rd hicaps and just light everything up (on semi auto only luckily). I just feel it takes a little more skill to use a pistol in CQB, you have to make your shots count.
