Generally they'll have some sort of welfare role along with a social aspect. Size can vary. I'm on the exec of one at my Uni, I can see if I can get in touch with some peeps in Anglia Ruskin for you if you want.
Would it be appropriate to make one of the many comments that you went against? :v: That'd be awesome Splurgy - obviously don't want to waste your time if you have more important things to do, but any general information would be welcome. PM me the details if you want. :)
I sometimes wonder why I post in this thread, it's utter shit.
Anyone else as bored as I am?
i think like half of the shit would go away if there was a ban on using tildes. it's a good schelling point
Okay so.. Topics.. I'm going to join a gym once I get back to work. I really want to start getting fit :)
they're building a new gym/pool complex thing in my town and I'm waiting for it to be built so i can get membership and everything because the old gym is a pile of shit. but it also feels like I'm just using it as an excuse to procrastinate
I've been thinking about joining a gym too, but I'm too lazy for that. Anyway, I'm now going to work.
I love after Splurgy's post, everyone comes out of the woodwork to finally speak in the thread.
CheeseMan, the advanced vanguard and pincushion of the something post that did something
i think like half of the shit would go away if there was a ban on using tildes. it's a good schelling point they're building a new gym/pool complex thing in my town and I'm waiting for it to be built so i can get membership and everything because the old gym is a pile of shit. but it also feels like I'm just using it as an excuse to procrastinate
I should probably do some dedicated exercise. I am a tiny little sprite so tbh being ripped or even muscular would just be useless on me, but I definitely need to get a bit of definition. Least that's how I see it. When I wasn't so lethargic I used to do pushups regularly, just because I liked to do them I guess.
Have a phantasmagorical day at work, datwut?!
I've been thinking about joining a gym too, but I'm too lazy for that. Anyway, I'm now going to work.
Try and enjoy your work today :3
I managed to do around 50 when I was going properly, now I probably can't even do a fraction of that. I'll probably start again soon, it's one of the cardio/whatchamacallit exercises I enjoy doing.
I'll go try pushups. I bet I can only get to 10 before flopping over
I'll go try pushups. I bet I can only get to 10 before flopping over
how did it go
I'd join in a gym, but I know I'd never use it, but I am walking about 6-7 miles a day, and I lost about 3 pounds last week, so that seems to be working. Also I finally hit the big 300 in the number of games I have on steam, and I feel like I should celebrate this fact, possibly by playing some of them.
how did it go
I couldn't even get to 5 As I said: I think joining a gym would be good for me ;3 Jesus fuck pushups are hard
That makes me wanna try to do some push ups now, just for fun, see how many I get. Brb. 15. Less than I could a month back.
pulitzer-worthy wall of text
also sorry to beat a dead horse but this essay seems applicable
I can't do many pushups because my elbow joints are somehow fucked, something about the cartilage(not sure if this is the correct word) being in the way. Carrying large loads hurts my elbows too, it kinda sucks.

The thing is, I was quite a bit shorter than he, so I had to keep my elbow crooked while carrying it so it didn't scrape against the ground (it was a fragile object), which I'm guessing is a Bad Thing To Do. When we finally got it there my whole arm was in pain and I couldn't bend my arm fully for a few days afterwards.
I can't even do 10 push ups I'm a weakling
Decided to give it a shot again, got 23. Not bad for the fleshyness that my body is, tbh.
I used to do a constant 20 every morning in a month. Seems like a good idea to start again.
Wow, 4 pages of new posts since I last checked; you've all been busy.
Well said Splurgy.
In my school a few months back we had a test for doing pushups in a minute in P.E.# I scored 3, the worst in the entire school, my muscle is so deficient it's pathetic.
In my school a few months back we had a test for doing pushups in a minute in P.E.# I scored 3, the worst in the entire school, my muscle is so deficient it's pathetic.
you can always improve, just try like 3-4 at a time for a few days and gradually work your way up as your muscles get used to it
you can always improve, just try like 3-4 at a time for a few days and gradually work your way up as your muscles get used to it
I think it's even worse now, I don't know if I'd be able to do one. I was literally collapsing on nearly every attempt then, I counted two but the guy recording it put three. I think I should improve though, it's horrifying. [editline]24th July 2012[/editline] Also listening to this: Supawit 5th track... damn it's not bad.
