My top played artists according to last.fm is the strangest mix of artists.
My music library ranges from 1901-2012 with most of it falling between the 30s and 60s.
My spotify playlist has a bunch of more recent music though.
Behold, the oldest song in my library (not counting classical music).

If you've never played it before, then find someone fun to do co-op with. It can be hilarious.
I missed Pittsburgh Pride yesterday, didn't even realize my city had a pride parade thingy.. learned about it because my cousin posted about it on facebook :(
Pride parades aren't my thing.
I feel like pride parades are counterproductive. At least in the way that I've seen them.
This is probably going to sound really dumb but I mean nothing rude by it.
Most of the pride parades I've seen contain lots and lots of really, i guess the fitting word would be flamboyant, gays. Not that there's anything wrong with that or anything, let people do whatever they want etc. but I feel like pride parades like that give people who aren't too friendly towards gays the wrong idea.
They've already got a warped picture of gays in their head and I feel like they make it worse.
It shows pride, which I guess is the point, but I think they kind of damage a lot of people's ideas.
I now sound like an idiot but oh well that's my thought on the subject.
I skipped out on my cities Pride Parade yesterday and spent the day cuddling with my man in the park. :quagmire:

I went to San Fran Pride once with my bf at the time and some of his gay family (cousin or something). It was fun, but I do agree that pride parades are backwards. "We want to be equal! But wait, treat us special and give us a parade!"
Pride Parades shouldn't be needed, and I suppose the flamboyancy of it all is just an accepted norm.
It shouldn't be needed in that level, but frankly, it gets the point across that it's not going to go away just because someone thinks it's "unnatural".
Difficult thing to judge how to perform in a parade really.
"We want to be equal! But wait, treat us special and give us a parade!"
Was Martin Luther King Jr.'s parade meant to be "special"? The whole point of them is pointing out an injustice.

My whole thing is that a lot of LGBT people and LGBT supporters seems to have this attitude of ONLY wanting the good parts of being equal, without taking any of the bad. They want equality in marriage. They don't want to be able to be fired for being gay. I'm trying to remember some of the "bad" parts of being equal but can't think of any at this point. Pride parades are kind of part of that bad part, though. It's promoting a "look at us we're different and special" thing when people want to promote "look at us we're nearly the same as you, just a little different".

I think comparing pride parades to the march on washington is a little extreme, whatever your point is. They didn't just go out and say "look at us, we're black, isn't that great?", and this is what pride parades do, they do not point out injustice in any way that I can see.
You can't fire someone for being black...
Just watched a movie called "Shortbus". That was pretty good and sad at the same time.
Whenever i think gay pride parade i think flamboyant guys in tight revealing leather wearing rainbow bracelets and shit.

But they do - it's an oppressive society against those that are LGBT. Society is dominated by what many see as the 'hetrosexual privilege', and these sorts of parades, whilst too flashy for my personal tastes, literally say "we are here, get over it".
Society, no matter what people say, will always have inequalities - it's just that those who are disabled, part of an ethnic minority, part of a different sexual orientation, part of a minority religious/spiritual background, etc. that will take the brunt of many forms of inequality. Whether that inequality is through social communication, through jobs, through housing, through services, it does not matter.
Inequality is a bad thing - we can only hope that people whom oppose it in a discriminatory matter are removed from the equation soon.

So did every other previous 'parade' which was seeking justice. What's so different about the two? They both wanted 'good things' by removing the bad.

You know by saying that you aren't contributing helpful ideas, nor talking about anything new, what a redundant post.
