It's always nice to have people to listen; it's cheaper than a therapist.
It is cheaper than a therapist, sure, but sometimes therapists can give you just the right advice to get you out of really deep ruts, even when you do have people that listen to you. That's how it's been for my experiences, anyhow, although I still got a pretty long, lonesome road ahead of me.
I went to go add you on steam because you're awesome but you just wanted all the icons. And your messages are turned off. It's not by choice either; the situation has turned out that way and it's how I feel and it does feel like crap but I can't let that bog me down too much or nothing good will ever happen. aka keep on truckin'

Can't love myself because I haven't done enough to earn my own love, that jazz. I know some people say you gotta love yourself before you can love others, but sometimes I just wish I could just skip a step. Sometimes you get lonely on those nights where you got nothing but the blues to keep you company.

I know I could get someone if I went out and looked (eventually anyways) but I'd rather focus on fixing my own fucked up problems right now so that I'm not just a burden. [editline]2nd August 2012[/editline]
So I finally got an appointment to talk to a psychologist or something tommorow. What do I tell them and how do I get the most out of the visit?
After the years of therapy I've had the main thing I can depart is don't lie to your therapist; it doesn't help anyone and it's a waste of your money. The uncomfortable questions are uncomfortable for a reason. Also your safety should be their goal so if they don't seem invested in your issues either tell them that or seek a new therapist.
Yeah it's completely cliche and gives the appearance that the person who said it has a choice but it's really how I feel.
Sometimes it ain't as simple as it sounds. Don't be too hard on yourself, though, just because it's cliche to some doesn't mean it actually is to you, if that makes sense. If it doesn't forgive me, it's really late down here and I'm pretty tired.
So I finally got an appointment to talk to a psychologist or something tommorow. I'll get offended about it in the morning or something I just can't fit it into my schedule right now. Schedule: -Be Tired -Fuckall

Woke up with a sore throat, but instead of being sore in the entire throat, it's sore by my soft palate. Jamming is gonna suck, that's for sure.
what is a haiku oh wait is this a haiku refrigerator
Actually the main feature of haikus is a juxtaposition of two ideas, and the haiku usualy follows a pattern of 5/7/5 sounds, not syllables (in Japanese, Tokyo, Osaka and Nagasaki all have different numbers of syllables but they are made of the sounds To-O-Ky-O, O-O-Sa-Ka and Na-Ga-Sa-Ki so have four sounds each) and frequently contains a seasonal reference. I didn't know this until recently a Japanese mate of mine explained this to me and then bizarrely the next day it was posted on reddit
Long time no post, but I'm back with an awkward question. I've been having a lot of unprotected anal sex lately, like sometimes 3 times a night and um I was wondering if it's absolutely 100% necessary to douche? Also, does anyone remember me? :D
If you're having a lot of unprotected anal sex, I'm assuming it's with a committed partner. If you're sleeping around instead a) what are you doing having unprotected sex with randomers b) douching washes out the anal mucus in your rectum which can lead to dryness and microtears, increasing your risk of contracting STIs like HIV so don't just douche all the time with randomers. Douching generally isn't necessary, although it's certainly nicer to have sex with someone who has douched. Either way, your rectum is not a poop storage area so if you went to the loo a few hours before (and then maybe had a shower) you're good to go
No. ._. Met my boyfriend 2 weeks ago so we're just pretty lustful right now. ;3
Ok it's with your bf, assuming he's clean (go get HIV tests every three months) you can pretty much shove needles up your arse and you won't catch HIV (assuming you're monogamous and not in an open/poly relationship) You don't need to douche afterwards, although it is kinda grody down there. But ultimately you shit out shit, so shitting out cum isn't really a big deal
I feel like comparably to hetero relationships that happened pretty quickly
On the whole gay men find it easier to get sex, but all the cool people our age seem to be hopping in and out of people's beds regardless of sexuality
[t]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/1/16/Brennnessel_1.JPG/737px-Brennnessel_1.JPG[/t] Nettles? What do they do
Cook them and eat them, or you can make them into a tea (it's really good for your skin) or even make it into beer (I don't know how, but I had nettle beer once and it was quite nice). If you get stung, find a dock leaf, lick it and stick it on the stung area.
So I finally got an appointment to talk to a psychologist or something tommorow. What do I tell them and how do I get the most out of the visit?
Well done for finally taking the big step and going to go see a shrink. It takes a lot of guts to walk into a doctor's surgery and spill your heart out. Like other people have said, the first meeting is probably going to be general background info but after that you'll probably be asked quite a few questions. Don't stress it :)
oh my god Ratchet and Clank: Deadlocked best R&C game ever
I don't even know Deadlocked. I mean, I know it's for PS2, but I've never seen it in germany. What's the game about?
I'm actually really stressed out about it. :( Back when I was working (really easy, getting paid to do nothing basically) I put together a big list of things on my mobile that I think would have been the reasons for how I am, I should show them that right? And what do I say when they give me the usual "So why are you here today?"
Probably a good idea to show them if you think it'll help. I'd imagine you could just say "Well, I've been having a lot of trouble with X, X, and X lately". I'm sure it'll do nothing but good. My dad sees a therapist and the only time he really stops drinking for any period of time is a short while after seeing him, and I doubt that's a coincidence.
I'm actually really stressed out about it. :( Back when I was working (really easy, getting paid to do nothing basically) I put together a big list of things on my mobile that I think would have been the reasons for how I am, I should show them that right? And what do I say when they give me the usual "So why are you here today?"
That would probably be a good idea. Usually the therapist or psychologist will ask you questions - it's like having a chat with them - so you could mention that you've written out a list of things if they ask you about how you're feeling, and you can discuss and address each point with them. However don't forget, you don't have to have a reason for being mentally ill. Things like depression can just jump on people for no reason at all so attempting to rationalise it as "I'm this way because of this" isn't necessarily the correct approach (although looking at the list might show the person how you feel about yourself etc. which can help them out). They're probably not going to ask "So why are you here today?" - they know you'll be nervous and will have been briefed on why you are there today.

Just went to work just to find out there's nothing to do today. :v: And how're you guys?
Well shit. I just found out that Feyd Rautha is 16. That means that both the baron and myself are pedos.
If I came in here and said I love each and every one of you, would I be showered in heart ratings? I don't know. I just figured that's what would happen, I have such a stereotypical idea of a gay man in my head. I love each and every one of you. But I ain't no homosapien, I'm heterosapien. But still. I'm not afraid to love another man. In a heterosexual way. <3 I just thought this thread would be nice and cheer me up.
