Visit London. Also, check go see the White Cliffs of Dover, drive through Kent, go see the Eden Project in Cornwall and have clotted cream tea in Devon if you want to be super touristy.
Don't expect people in teeny tiny villages to be massively friendly to the strange foreign man with long hair though.

So I'm an officer of my school's honors society (i'm a nerd) and we're planning a back to school carnival. I've been calling for general meetings for everyone in the honors society lately (which is like 80 people, it's kind of a big school I guess) but since it's the summer I've been seeing like 10 people per meeting.
One of the officers has been getting really fucking passive-aggressive lately, and she keeps going on about how we shouldn't bother trying to schedule anything before school starts since nobody's going to come to meetings. Naturally, she never comes to meetings, even meetings that are just the officers (there's only five of us).
So yesterday I made a post about when our next meeting is in our Facebook group, and she just posted "No." And then "Partially because I'm on vacation and partially because it's just unreasonable to schedule meetings during the summer." So I kind of got really pissed and responded with a long rant about how we kind of have an obligation and how people are going to be busy no matter when the carnival is.
Only problem is... the rest of the group isn't aware of her passive-aggressiveness lately so I kind of probably look like an asshat. I'm almost afraid to go check what happened after that.

I dunno, I've never looked at gays as nice people. I've looked at them as people: good and bad individuals. I don't get this grouping thing, it's not even a nationality or race, it's just a sexual preference. Part of an identity, sure, but not of a personality.
