It's not too bad if you get knocked out. Can't feel your face for the rest of the day and then if you take the painkillers like you're supposed to, you're not really in any discomfort aside from being foggy headed for a while.
The only bad part is making sure there's no food in the holes, it's pretty gross.

When I got 4 molars removed (for my braces, if they weren't removed my teeth would become crowded), I made the terrible fucking mistake of eating rice. The rice grains got stuck in the soggy, clotted gaping holes left from where the molars were removed. Fuck it was horrible. Ended up pulling out the clots along with the rice :( Because of that dumbass move, it took so much longer for the gum to heal.
But yeah, just get yourself knocked out and you'll be fine.
