Why do some people even have big avatars suddenly?
Finally got back from my 2 week roadtrip.
Travelling out to Oregon makes me wish I lived there. Especially since Salem, just 45min or so south of beautiful portland, has the same apartment prices as I'm paying in old run-down Ohio. PLUS Oregon doesn't have any sales tax at all!
Travelling through Oregon I saw beautiful mountain pine forest landscapes, high desert country that looks just like Arizona except without the cactuses and at a higher altitude, mountain towns and cities with some of the cleanest/up kept roads and cities I've seen with the nicest people too. Also visited a gay bath house and a japanese garden! Didn't even see the southern portion (where crater lake and Eugene are).
Denver is also pretty cool. At first I was unimpressed (I imagined denver as a very mountain-esque city, when in fact it is 1.5 hours away from the mountains and is located in the middle of where the giant featureless plains are in Colorado). The only cool thing about denver at first glance is the fact that in the far distance twoard the west are the rocky mountains to backdrop the city.. mountains that you can't even properly see in the morning due to haze.
But after staying there a couple of nights, it was really awesome. Downtown is simply fun and great. It's an extremely bike friendly city too, and they even have a bike rental system where you ride bikes between stations for something like $8 a day for the privledge (though if you spend longer than 30 minutes between stations, they charge you a small fee additional). It's even better a night.
*misses the west so muchs*
That guy I was going to room with in college? His GPA was too low, he can't stay on-campus now. I suppose that's what I get for getting my hopes up.
