Brush the tops of the scones with the beaten egg. Bake for 12-15 minutes until well risen and golden.

Place the two slices in a toaster over.

I remember watching a video with the guy from Blues Clues and he told a story and whatnot, and said near the end that he did a lot of those make a wish things for terminally ill kids, and he found that mostly the kids wanted to make their parents happy more than anything.
