Time to hang out with my dad all day :v:
I went with my dad to subway.
Then he found a document i was reading on my netbook while we were eating and it was a school spreadsheet.
Except the title was called "Burning Niggers" because my friend thought it would be funny to send it to me as that and he raged.
I found it funny.
Also hi this thread very gay.
fathers day is in like november in sweden :I
I bought my dad a fancy belt, since most of his belts are like five years old and pretty beat up.

Memento Mori > Carpe Diem > YOLO

seriously wow
Why is that funny to you?
"#YOLO" will remind me of 2012, and all the cool people I've met. I'll remember all the times we jokingly shouted it at house parties, all the times we laid around hashtagging our speech whilst getting high and just internet culture in general.
Some of my friends have just gotten tattoos so I've been thinking about it a lot. At first I was considering some sort of literary reference that meant a lot to me, like a line from a Betjeman poem or a quote from Thérèse Desqueyroux, but that just seemed pretentious and verbose. YOLO is a succinct message about how you should live your life - don't care what others think of you too much, because in about 80 years you and everyone you know right now will be skeletons - and if someone is going to look down on me for having a YOLO tattoo (not even a big one, maybe just a small one on my side) then they're probably not worth getting to know full stop.
Out of interest, if you were to get a tattoo, what would it be?

"Et in Arcadia Ego" and "Ubi Sunt" are also in the running
On that theme

is quite beautiful, but I'm uneasy getting a tattoo in any language that isn't French, English or Gaelic. I did quite enjoy discovering "Pereant osores" roughly translates as "Haters gonna hate" in Latin, but I'm not a massive fan of Latin tattoos.
what is this yolo crap and what did i miss? tl;dr above
what does yolo even mean
what is this yolo crap and what did i miss? tl;dr above
What's the point of reading a discussion thread if your attention span can't stretch to two paragraphs?
YOLO stands for "You Only Live Once". It was popularised in a song by Drake and Lil Wayne. People hashtag it on twitter a lot to show that they're living in the moment ("I'm scared about my driving test #YOLO") and to mean despite initial reservations, they're going to go through with it anyway. It's fun to use ironically ("I'm going to have another slice of toast for breakfast! #YOLO")
oh you mean the motto by drake.

its not a bad song but I have heard better from drake, and especially from lil wayne
they should be tagging #erryday its better than yolo
I think YOLO is stupid but I don't think "You only live once" is stupid. I think that nobody on twitter, FB etc actually uses it in the romanticised you you're saying, it's just marginalised into some crappy acronym people skim over. That said, I'm a philistine who doesn't really know much about twitter except what I see when I check it occasionally, that's just my small observation of it.

But latin make you ~deep~
Memento Mori is awesome because it rolls off the tongue well, and it has a lot of interpretations behind the meaning. Plus its a classical concept, and being well versed classical concepts makes you ~cultured~
Also it's the name of the song used in "Lifeforce" by ASD, the "famous" demoscene (well, famous within demoscene circles).

To an extent, sure. But if I use it in that sense, that's what it means to me and at the end of the day if you're getting inked you should probably go for a tattoo that's highly meaningful to yourself.

I'd feel uncomfortable doing that, even though I know what "Memento Mori" means. I'm not well versed in Classics, I have a cursory level of knowledge about them. Some people I know have done Classics at A-Level or are studying Classics at Uni and they'll know all about this obscure stuff. If you get a tattoo that paints you as knowing a lot about Classics when you don't know much about it at all, you can quite easily get caught out.
I have only heard YOLO used once in person and it was in defence of a guy who nearly killed himself from lack of self control by drinking so much the hospital had to pump out his stomach contents, so that's kind of marred the phrase for me.
I'm in a new house, and now I have Internet again!
Hi everyone have some pictures I heard people like pictures.

Here's how close to the stage I was.

I was basically in Ringo's lap.
And here's the actual concert, apologies for the lack of quality in the photos, as my hands were shaking a bit. :v:

It was the greatest thing ever.
I got laid two nights ago.
I am sorry for your loss
Recently I've kind of stopped pursuing sexual activities, trying to get good at drawing and stuff.
Not missing out on much from my view, enjoying life to it's fullest enjoying what I do.
