I completely prefer league of Legends. Dota 2 is like an street fighter, you kill or be killed too fast, if you stunt you have a kill. In league of legends a 5v5 fight can take more than a minutes of skirimish, I think League of Legends is more oriented to strategy.
Also I feel that in dota 2 the best teamplay that you can do is not feeding your team in your lane. There is not so much skills that can be used with your mates, it is not as fun to play it with my mates.

You look good still. But I think it'd look much better a tad longer.
Yea once it grows out a bit you can give it a little more style as well. I always feel the same when I get a haircut but after a week or so I master it to make it look good. Either that or I just get used to it. I'm not sure which it is yet.

I personally don't care for long hair really. Anything longer than the ears (aka more than a 4-5 or so inches) doesn't look good to me.

yeah i dunno i mean i don't hate it, but it's a rather drastic change
also i've never really used any sort of product in my hair, but the stylist was telling me to use hair wax. so i imagine i'll have a good time trying to figure that out.
I have 280 hours on dota 2, I would have more but I barely queue with friends and I don't like taking my chances with soloing so I don't really play too often

I have hair wax, it'll work with your hair at the moment, my hair has gotten longer since so I stopped using it mostly.

Step 1 - dip hands in goop
Step 2 - get goop all over your hands
Step 3 - work through hair, going left and right alternatively to get it up and then just work it into the way you want
