I wish I'd recorded myself last night/earlier this morning.
I have 5 alarms set to wake me up for school, I only remember dismissing 1. I woke up an hour later, I checked my phone and I apparently dismissed them, but I don't have any recollection.
I recorded myself last night, Audio only though, it stopped 2 hours in. I just found out why now.
Apparently it sounded like I started jumping a few times, and then my phone began to rattle, which must be the sound of me turning it off in sleep. Wth?
ITT: Nobody posts a video.

Then make your own and stop whining.
forgotten kane's posts in this thread have a LOT of misinformation
you cant characterize the subconscious like that because it's not a separate entity
Did this while I slept just now, 5 and a half hours of nothing interesting.
god damn.
Recorded myself for a good 6 and a half hours, and the only thing of interest is that I kept rubbing my chest and inner thighs.
What the fuck?
Interesting, I sleep like my father. Gonna edit the vid now and then I'll put it up on youtube. Gotta try and keep it really short.
Yes, I know I do...
When people comment on my sleeping, all they say is "You snore a lot".
And you believe they sit down and stare at you sleep for hours?
You don't know how you sleep before you record yourself.
Recorded myself. I just slept like a fucking rock.

Well i would, but there's nothing to see since im just turning on my bed.
I was told when I was little that I would sleep walk constantly. My parents said that I would fall asleep on the couch while watching TV, they would tell me to get up and go to bed, so I would get up, walk behind the recliner and just sit there until they carried me to my room. There have been some nights when I was younger where I would wake up in a different room then when I fell asleep.

And that is the reason why there's not many videos in here.
Rendering the video currently. Took a lot of editing to squeeze the video into 22 minutes. I believe Youtube now accepts videos that long?

22 minutes? What?!
Mine is 3 and a half minute.
But maybe you just did more shit than I did.
I have sped up anything uninteresting to 10000, and then another 2-500% after I rendered that. (10000 is the limit for Premiere so I had to render it all and then put it in and then speed up that again and place it in the right spots since I can't cut out parts of it and slow it down to a good speed where stuff happens.)
I also put anything interesting at 200%.
Also you can only upload 10+ minutes of video if you have been on youtube long enough, you would have gotten a message, just try and see in the upload options.
Well there's a lot of leg and toe waving, a little yoga (I take after my dad) and then the roll overs. Basically I have everything on the film, all the movements. The rest I chopped up and squeezed into a couple seconds. Will have to consider speeding up the vid to 10 mins if it's too boring to watch.
Does anyone know if i can record via kinect?

I woke up in the bathtub once.
I also woke up playing world of warcraft, I lvled up 9 times in my sleep. I must record myself now but I don't own a webcam.
(Why didn't I wake up playing a good game?)
That vid is extremely well edited and just plain scary when your hand just appears out of no where and lays on the covers. Good job it wasn't dark! :P
Currently rendering the video again to double speed, was too boring at normal speed.
"Leo, we need to get to the next dream."
That's mine. :v:

Everyone says how they sleep, but nobody posts a video.
Due to films like Paranormal activities I always have wanted to film my self sleep, not to capture ghosts or something stupid like that. Just to see what I am like, as I wake up in some weird positions.
I'm going to film using my Xbox 360 vision cam, I hooked it up to my PC and downloaded a 14 day free trail of Debut Video Capture Software. The best choice by far!
- Videos saved as .Mp4 only take around 500mb for 6 hours of footage.
- You can set up a schedule, my webcam was fine in the dark but if you can't get a decent picture you can schedule it to start recording in the early hours of the morning when the sun is setting.
- It works.

The view of Debut video capture software, plus the view I filmed my self sleeping in (Pardon the not made bed.)

The settings are pretty much all default except I recorded it as an .Mp4 instead of the default AVI.
I set up my microphone for which I used my Band Hero microphone which is actually really good and I had clear audio as well, which can be important for later on.
I hit record and went to sleep.
I woke up with around six hours of footage, it only took around 500mb and I started watching it. IT IS SO FREAKY.
Seriously watching your self toss and turn, sit bolt up right and re-position the blanket as if you were awake is so fucking scary. I deleted it as soon as I had watched it as it really is scary. I even curled up into a ball at one point and nearly fell off the bed! I also snore REALLY loudly.
Put the video into a video editing software and then look at the audio line, look for peaks in the audio and skip to those moments as this is most likely to be something interesting, be it you tossing and turning or even getting up and walking.

Seriously try it! It's REALLY weird but well worth it.
Time-lapse: I originally downloaded a program to make a time-lapse of me sleeping, but it wont work. It takes a picture when ever you set it to (For example every 5 seconds) but that means you miss out a lot of detail. For instance if on one frame you suddenly sit bolt upright, you wont know what's happened. So using the way above is the best method, that is if you have your PC in your room!
No way am I posting screens/video of myself, but if any one is brave enough to show us some highlights from their videos feel free!
Good luck!

Do you really need to quote all the op for that?
I have a tendancy to talk/ walk in my sleep. It would probably make for a pretty funny video, but I don't really feel comfortable having the internet watch me as I sleep.
Might attempt tonight. My laptop will probably overheat and shut itself off though because its a faget.
Ill try this sometime
I really wanna know how I get to wake up without a blanket sometime
Why film yourself when you can just have a friend watch you instead?
