So I recorded myself last night, too dark because I couldn't get Night Vision on in that debut thing, and then the video got corrupted so I couldn't open it to look for sound.
It's actually been proven true. Also, I can understand most of that, but why in fuck would you piss?
are you referring to the "you use less than 10% of your brain power" thing? because that's not true. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/10%25_of_brain_myth
Well I recorded myself 2 nights. I have found noting on the second video except I move around a fucking lot. I jiggle my foot and move into really odd positions. The first one however... I was doing some odd shit with my hands. Kinda looked like I was tying bows and honking horns. Ill do a nice little compilation some time.
I want to do this, my girlfriend always tells me that I do strange things in my sleep. Once I talked really quickly (kind of like how you'd expect an auctioneer to talk) for about a minute, but she was half asleep and doesn't remember what I said... I have also laughed in my sleep on multiple occasions. I'm gonna try this tonight or asap.
So I filmed myself sleeping last night. I won't upload it but I can tell you what happened. I found out that I rotate directions in my bed multiple times at night. As in my pillows are at one end and I'll drag them to the other end and sleep facing the other direction. I also sat straight up and said, "WHAT?" as if someone asked me a question. Multiple times in my sleep I hit my head on the wall by my bed and once or twice I woke up (slightly, I don't remember it) to put my headphone back in my ear, because I listen to music when I sleep.
I do the sit bolt up right thing aswell! I understand why you don't want to upload it, it seriously freaks you out. I'm glad a lot of people are having good results with this.
What the fuck is the sound?
Like TheTailor said, it is my computer, or maybe more specifically my computer fan. The sound is sped up by 200% I believe.
i would do this but i have no camera to record with.
i would do this but i have no camera to record with.
You can get a webcam stupidly cheap from Amazon.co.uk. Five pounds for an LED webcam r there are just normal ones aswell. Modern ones come with built in microphones as well so it's well worth it!
Oh my God. I remember when I was seven or so, I was sleepwalking and opened a cabinet near the floor and pulled down my pants. Yes, I fucking pissed in the cabinet.
I know this is a late reply, but holy fuck I did the same thing as a small kid.
I understand why you don't want to upload it, it seriously freaks you out.
It's not that it freaks me out, it's that I was naked as hell :smug:
i should of done this tonight. I put my watch on in my sleep. which i placed on my dresser on the other side of my room.
forgotten kane's posts in this thread have a LOT of misinformation you cant characterize the subconscious like that because it's not a separate entity
You're correct, the subconscious and conscious are one being. But that does not mean they can't work separately. While on many occasions they work together, the conscious has the most power when it comes it body segments moving, language, and fine motor skills. When the conscious is sleeping some people's subconscious is able to take on the responsibilities of of the conscious, known as sleepwalking. [editline]11th June 2011[/editline]
hahahahahha what the fuck. your legs move in the most uncomfortable positions.
Not true, it's very comfortable when you get used to it. Sometimes, I find myself falling asleep when I have both my legs behind my head. The only problem is waking up, your legs are so numb it feels like Willy Wonka stuck a chocolate stick up your ass.
Just filmed myself over night and found nothing abnormal. All I do is lie still and roll over every hour or two.
You know what this thread still lacks? Content. I wish I could give some funny content or amazing content, but I can't because I'm not much of a exciting sleeper. So you'll have to do with this content for content's sake; I also think I found out the highly logical reason for my body putting it's legs straight up. To lift up the quilt so I can get some air underneath it. And no, sorry, I took the quilt down myself when I woke up because it was so cold.
I think my sister must have punched me about 3 times in the forehead - while sleeping how does that even work. [editline]12th June 2011[/editline]
because I listen to music when I sleep.
Well there's your answer.
Every now and again I'll have a weird dream where I just walk around my room and the house, or just sit at the computer and check facebook, rather than have an interesting dream. This started a few months ago, and I'm now worried that I'm actually sleepwalking and remembering fragments of it. It would suck ass to post something regrettable on facebook in your sleep. It's like Fight Club, but boring.
I can recall once when I was playing some New Vegas with my girlfriend sleeping in the bed next to me, as soon as I started to turn my PC off she pulls off the blankets and asks "Why are there bobby pins on the walls?", then dozes back to sleep. Random shit.
Just tried it. Windows is a asshole. I got 3 Hours in and windows did a auto reboot for updates. The one thing I forgot about.
I've been recording myself for the last 4 night, the most interesting thing last night was sleeping through 15 minutes of alarm beeping. And it would seem I'm a professional sleeping snoozer. Also, what video software do you guys use to view the clips? I tried using Sony Vegas but for some reason that's looping my sound after the first 10-15 minutes. The preview in Debut video capture plays fine, no looping sound.
Hey, I'd post the video if me sleep-turning off the camera once I get back from vacation.
I recorded my self last night(8ish hours in 4GB -- not bad.) Other than moving around a lot and a slight wardrobe malfunction there wasn't really anything interesting.
Why film yourself when you can just have a friend watch you instead?
A stalker's best friend.
Anyone with an iPhone can use an app to do it. Not sure what it's called. I think it might be: Sleep Talk Recorder http://www.sleeptalkrecorder.com/
And nothing of interest happened. :saddowns: Other then that I look like a fucking gremlin while sleeping, christ.
try VLC player that can play almost any format
Yeah, I can watch them on VLC. But I'd like to see the audio waves to find spikes during the parts where it's pitch black. (which vegas does, but for some reason wants to loop the sound instead of playing it all) I've been noticing slight mumbling so maybe it will get louder over the next few nights and I want to find those quickly without sifting through hours of footage with my speakers up. I'm going to try recording in .avi instead of mp4, maybe that will fix the looping problem I'm having and I won't need another program to edit these. I'll update when I wake up today.
