I don't have the hardware to do this comfortably (in a nice dark room) but I do recall a point where I apparently subconsciously adapted to my phone's alarm and turned it off in my sleep. Or the time my mom tried to wake me up for school and I just said something along the lines of "YEAH I'M AWAKE" in my sleep. So apparently when I'm asleep I sometimes unconsciously manipulate alarms and people to get more sleep. Pretty cool how that works, except when it's making me late for stuff.
That happened to me recently. It was around 10PM and i asked my friend to wake me up in half an hour because I was taking a nap to try to stay up longer. He tried to wake me up, but instead i told him not to wake me up. I have no memory of that. He eventually woke me up at midnight and told me this. I just thought he forgot.
I used a mic to record audio while I was sleeping once. Other than the occasional thump or crack of my house (it does that, kinda scary sometimes). In the middle of the night: "FUCK, I'M HOLDING ALL THESE CLOCKS. WHAT THE FUCK DO I DO". About ten minutes later after I probably fell back asleep I heard a thump and a dull ring on the floor. When I got up that morning there was a clock on the ground. I don't remember where I got it, so when I got up I was all
I want to try this because I always never wake up to my alarms, and I want to know why. I also wake up with headaches and always feeling like I never slept. But I'm also scared to see what embarrassing things I do in my sleep.
I'm afraid of recording myself asleep after watching this southpark clip
What are the chances you will actually capture something worth watching anyway? Just because you once pissed on your mums face whilst screaming at a lightbulb doesn't mean it's gonna happen again.
I sleep naked. I hope you all like wrinkles, and lots of them.
Doing this right now.
One time after a night of drinking I woke up at around sunrise and noticed my tv was on. I stared at the tv for what felt like a good 5 minutes wondering wtf channel I was watching. Then I realized I was looking at my window. And the blinds were closed.
I have a laptop with a webcam, is nightvision in the software?
I remember when i woke up in my sisters bed, and my sister was sleeping next to me. :gonk:
My mum once heard me snapping at someone and came in to find me sitting up in bed but asleep and arguing loudly with someone who wasn't there. I supposedly went back to normal right after that.
This thread is hilarious. I've talked like an idiot a few times while sleeping, according to people who have heard it, but I don't remember what it was exactly. I do, however, remember frequently launching myself off the bed while asleep. Not just rolling off, but physically throwing myself off for no apparent reason.
I'd have to blu tac over the red light I don't know if I could do it, sounds creepy
Apparently I sleep walked into the bathroom one night and pissed on a pile of dirty clothes, my dad was standing next to me washing his hands at the time.
I've been told that I do mumble things and turn around a lot in my sleep, and as of the past few weeks I've started drooling just a little bit and I think I'm grinding my teeth just a little or something. Towards the last week of school (2 weeks ago), I got very little sleep and I remember for 2 or 3 nights in a row waking up with some sort of sleep paralysis where I couldn't breathe, my body was numb, and I thought I was going to suffocate or something. This would be a perfect time to do something like this. The only issue is that this will most definitely creep me out, even if nothing happens, just watching myself sleep is creepy as fuck. And of course as I write this I've gone to my closet to find my video camera to see if there's enough space for a full night's worth of recording...
My parents say I scream in my sleep. I really want to do this but there is absolutly no space for me to do this. Also, one time I was at a camp and my friend told me I sat upright around 4am and started speaking Spanish fluently.
Ok, so my camera has enough space to record for 12 hours, no night vision mode, but I'm mostly interested in audio anyways... should I do it?
Ok, so my camera has enough space to record for 12 hours, no night vision mode, but I'm mostly interested in audio anyways... should I do it?
Yes.
Yes.
then I shall return some time tomorrow with either nothing interesting at all or some awesomely freaky stuff...
my biggest fear is sleepwalking over to my PC and breaking it by pissing all over it
I want to do this but after watching marble hornets I'm scared of seeing the guy with the mask :saddowns:
Oh my God. I remember when I was seven or so, I was sleepwalking and opened a cabinet near the floor and pulled down my pants. Yes, I fucking pissed in the cabinet.
I've done that, except it was in our shoe drawer.
any free mac software that does a scheduled record from the webcam? I'd like to give this a try. I always wake up with the bottom sheet almost completely off like there's been someone jumping on the bed and I want to know why.
I need to film myself, because this one time I woke up in my sister's clothes I have no fucking idea how that occured.
I did this (only recorded 3 hours though... computer seems to have derped) but the only thing I did was roll around a bit, itch my nose, and snore some.
I would, but I don't have a webcam and my regular camera only has tapes that last one hour. [editline]7th June 2011[/editline] And I don't really feel like asking someone to sneak into my room every hour to change the tapes.
I once started vigorously humping and groping my girlfriend in my sleep. The morning conversation was consequently awkward.
Well so I recorded myself with my webcam and as I thought I'm quite the calm guy in bed. Now then my bed is carved into the wall so to say, so I couldn't see my head but I only moved around some 8-10 times in total. It's pretty fucking cool to see your body do something you haven't done yourself though. Like why the hell does it feel like stretching out the hand in slow-motion and why does it suddenly tuck in the feet against the butt so they stand right up with the knees? I've woken up in that position sometimes and I just don't get it why my body wants to sleep in that position. Oh yeah and it was nice to see how I had no fucking reaction to the first alarm, at fucking all. And it took me about 40 minutes to even sleep, funny how it feels like it takes a long time and then it actually took even longer than you thought.
A few weeks ago I got pissed at my mates house, and we all went upstairs to sleep at 2am. I "woke up" to find myself standing in the neighbour's back garden trying to get in the back door. Still rat-arsed, I stood there in my boxers in the freezing fucking cold trying to open the door to no avail, despite all the indications that it wasn't my mate's house. Eventually I came out of the garden and realized. Got back in my mate's back garden to find I'd actually closed the door behind me on the way out (How I managed to unlock it in the first place is beyond me).
I sometimes wake up at the opposite end of my bed with the pillow and MP3 player playing songs, i have to find out how.
