Last night I got in a fight in a dream and headbutted the guy, by guy I mean my wall. Hard. Edit: I'm considering doing this, just thinking that sifting through 10 hours of footage might be kinda boring....
Gonna do this tonight. I know I sleepwalk and talk too. I have found myself dozens of times trying to rip the pillow out of the pillowcase. And other stuff too. One morning I found my acoustic guitar standing in the center of my room. I hope I didn't play too loud. :v: I've also heard a lot of stories from my brothers. I've had some really weird conversations they tell me. Couple of weeks back me and my friends played Terraria. The last thing we did was kill 3 Eater of Worlds. That night I dreamt about a worm that jumped from the ground and grabbed my hand. Well I had slept my arm under the pillow and it had gone numb. I jump out of my bed and start shaking the worm off. I beat my hand in the table and even knocked down a chair. :v: Then I started to come to and took a look at my hand. "No worm. Just a dream. Oh god it hurts." Good thing is that I didn't break my hand or anything. It was sore for couple of days.
So, I did it last night and it turns out I don't move a fucking inch while sleeping, I looked seriously dead until the sun started getting on my face and I turned my face sideways away from the light, then I kept not moving at all until I woke up :v:
I should probably do this. Set one up in my bedroom, hallway, and another in my bathroom because one time I woke up in the bathroom pissing into the toilet while it was pitch black. I didn't know how the fuck I got there but I bet I was stumbling my way there.
I tend to get some dreams where I fall of something (like a skateboard) and when I fall I wake up, just as I fall onto the floor or on my bed. Gotta get a recording of that sometime. My ipod also says that I have been playing one song about 20 times, yet I never heard it. I do magically know the lyrics... Another thing that might be interesting to film is my cat, she tends to sleep all day but if I'm awake at night I can hear her running around the whole house.
I don't think I do anything interesting in my sleep (though my cat always buggers away from my bed for some reason), but I remember my dad talking about everything in his sleep every single night when we were on vacation. I'd record him, but I've nothing to record with.
Great to hear about some of the experiences you guys are having, any one still thinking about doing this do it! Although weird, like mentioned above, it is so weird to see your body doing stuff that you subconsciously didn't tell it to do.
I'm considering doing this, just thinking that sifting through 10 hours of footage might be kinda boring....
Speed it up by 10 000%, my ~7 hours only lasts 4 minutes that way.
Speed it up by 10 000%, my ~7 hours only lasts 4 minutes that way.
And you don't see shit.
And you don't see shit.
I don't know how fast and much you move when sleeping, but yes, you see everything. Everything I saw in normal speed is still fully visible with that speed. It's just not as detailed, obviously. By speeding it up like that you can find the parts where you actually move, cut that sequence out and then lower the speed of it to see it normally. Lukes away all the "Just layin in my bed" sequences.
I remember my mum and dad telling me that once when they sent me to bed, they were watching a film downstairs and I walked into the room expressionless somehow. My mum glanced over and screamed and apparently I also screamed, ran back upstairs and went to sleep. Another time when I was a kid I sleptwalked downstairs to my Dad who was using the computer and sat on his knee. Fuck that reminds me of another time when me and my sister used to share a bunkbed, and apparently in the night i was randomly saying "Queen Of Hearts" and naming random cards.
Is there a bug in youtube that classes your subscriptions as watched? Sometimes I will check it in the morning and all my new videos have been watched, and some forum posts read, even though they are from after when I went to sleep.
One time my step bro came over to my house to hang out for a few days, he was sleeping on the couch. Anyway some time in the middle of the night I woke up thirsty so I went to the kitchen for a glass of water, and as I'm walking through the living room to get there, he bolts up on the couch and yells "YOU CAN'T CUT BACK ON FUNDING! YOU WILL REGRET THIS!" Then he just sat there for a minute or two with his eyes closed and fell back asleep :v:
I once woke us and saw the word "frie" carved in my arm skin, I really need to try this...
Wait shit the song I keep playing while I never listened to it isn't the song I know the lyrics of. :psyduck: Does anyone know a song with the lyrics "shout!, shout!, let it all out! These are the things I can do without so come on." and then repeats infinitely.

Apparently when my dad tried to wake me up one morning, I pointed my fingers into a gun at him, "shot", then layed back down.
http://lmgtfy.com/?q=shout+shout+let+it+all+out+these+are+the+things+i+can+do+without
Disturbed - shout 2000 Played 0 times. :ohdear:
Not entirely related maybe, but after reading about people sleepwalking I had a thought. You could pretend to be sleepwalking and do really stupid stuff, like walk into your parents' bedroom and pee on them while they sleep. On topic though, it would be interesting to see what people sleeptalk or whatever, perhaps more so if we got someone that could lucid dream or astral project, then we could see if there's anything happens physically.

For the second one, I stood on my bed for about a second then walked off to go take a piss.
If I can find a source of low light, I'm so doing this tonight.
I once thought my backpack was a car.
I love shit like this, videos are better though.
I love shit like this, videos are better though.
Indeed. I find sleep and dreams in general really interesting. The megathread makes me sad though, because I can't seem to get lucid and all the stories sound so awesome. :smith: I'd love to try this when I get the chance, though.
I did this last night, if I edit the video I'll upload it. I had more fun watching my cat, who would cuddle up to me, then get up and just stare ominously next to me at my head. I had a tendency to spaz my hand around. On more than one occasion, I hold myself up, look right at my pillow, then shake my head furiously.
I'm gonna set my laptop up this weekend and give it a try, see what I do :v:
I once woke up on my kitchen counter, with all the cupboards, my fridge door, and freezer open. And the sink was running. No one else was home at the time.
I did this one night. It was real interesting.. until I realized I didn't turn it off until after I had went to school, came home with my girlfriend and fucked her in my room. Sure, I got a video of her and me.. but it was kinda awkward to watch... (But she doesn't know I have it. :v: ) The basis behind it (to those disagreeing) I turned my monitor off and keyboard backlight off. I couldn't check it before school so I went to school and came back home (with girlfriend who lived a block away) and we went inside and did our thing, when she left I brought everything back online and realized it had recorded everything. I don't see how that's not believable really.
show us for proof

Maybe a neck strain? Also for everyone who says that "Wow, i moved alot, like 10 times!" that's normal.
