The amount of twists in Doctor Who, soon this will be the theme tune. Also- I think the twist isn't a BIG twist. Just one from within the episode. Like I dunno... the kid is his own dad or something out of the blue.
the only twists now should be ones that resolve the current storyline, if he adds something new again out of the blue I'm going to be very annoyed.
What? WHAT? WHAT?! [editline]edit[/editline] Oh fuck: http://www.reddit.com/r/doctorwho/comments/k1hcq/in_lets_kill_hitler_did_anyone_else_notice_this/
While watching the episode [sp]as he was dying in the Tardis[/sp] that's just what I was thinking, this probably connects to The Impossible Austronaut
[sp]If the doctor is performing switcheroos with his future self, it could in fact be linked to this weird alternative timeline we see in the last episode with churchill on the mammoth and shit - because its similar to what you see at the end of series 5, and he emerges from that wearing a tux, just as he does in lets kill hitler. The bit where he gets revived by River could in fact be how he's saved. My guess at the moment is actually that the doctor 'dies' in Lake Silencio and could be saved by River in 1938 [/sp] Spoilers because Australians and a few other countries haven't seen lets kill hitler yet and its very spoilery.
To be fair, every twist so far hasn't been out of the blue. Each has been built up to. I've been saying "I should've seen that coming" a lot more than "I NEVER saw that coming"
And I've been saying "I knew that was coming!" and "That was obvious!" a lot more than either!
And here is me, constantly thinking 'Wow...wait, what?'
after this series moffat needs to break the twists for a bit. I want a solid story in the Moffat style, but one I don't have to think about too much to just break it up a bit.
I'm quite happy with the twists.
I think Moffat is best when trying to truamatise little children.
I think Moffat is best when trying to truamatise little children.
It's annoying, since he took over the series, there hasn't been a Empty Child / Blink style episode. I wanna be scared again dang it. [editline]2nd September 2011[/editline] That or there have been Empty Child / Blink style episodes, and I've just been too much of a manly man to get scared by them :v:

Moffat takes common (often irrational) fears and either amplifies them or makes them rational.
Imelda Staunton is lending her voice to Doctor Who in Episode 10, The Girl Who Waited:
The Radio Times has revealed that the BAFTA award winning actress, Imelda Staunton, will lend her vocal talents to the 10th episode in the current series, The Girl Who Waited, due for transmission on 10th September. Staunton will play Voice of Interface in the story alongside Josie Taylor playing Check-in girl and Stephen Bracken-Keogh providing the Voice of Handbots. Imelda Staunton, is best known for her performance in the 2004 Mike Leigh film, Vera Drake, where she played a working-class woman in London in 1950 who performs illegal abortions. The role won her the BAFTA and Venice Film Festival Award for best actress in a leading role. She was a regular in the Harry Potter film series playing Professor Dolores Jane Umbridge. The Radio Times has also confirmed that actor Simon Callow will be returning to the series in the final episode of the current series, The Wedding of River Song. Callow last appeared in Doctor Who alongside Ninth Doctor, Christopher Eccleston, in the 2005 story The Unquiet Dead, where he played Charles Dickens. No details of his character in the upcoming story have been released.
http://www.doctorwhonews.net/2011/09/dwn020911152112-imelda-staunton-in.html
Anyone else watch the Trailer for Night Terrors and instantly go "OMG! That guy from The Firm!"? [editline]2nd September 2011[/editline]
The next episode looks pretty scary. Matt just has the Doctor look about him. He suits the part fantastically.
