Preview video up for tomorrow episode.
The preview videos don't seem to be region locked. I can watch them fine.
There are 3 clips on that page.
The original show aired in 1963. This is the reboot.
A reboot is when they start over, this is just a continuation after a huuuuuuge gap.
The preview for the next episode looks okay. Could be a decent episode.
If they handle it like they handled Amy's Choice this could kick arse.

Depends how much it is.
Wow, Arthur is £20 cheaper and I'd much rather go to his.
Wish I could come but can't. I have a 10k run in Edinburgh on the Sunday
I start Uni just before. And I have no money. need to go out and make friends during Freshers.
I probably can't go either :c
I only watch four episodes so far, should i watch the one with bald doctor and rose? Or the newer one?
I started on series five, But after watching them all I'd advise starting with one.

Just go with the timeflow, some stuff is pretty hard to follow if you missed some episodes. So start at series 1.

Just finished watching Aliens, remarkable how influential those movies were when it comes to Sci-Fi in general. I mean, I only started watching during the part where they got out of the APC and into the lab, but there were so many scenes and ideas that have been used and reused in... Well, Doctor Who for example. The Impossible Planet / Satan Pit being a good example of total Alien setting, and the scene where they're running through the air vents away from the pursuing Ood is almost exactly like the one in Aliens. And the Waters of Mars episode was very Alien-like as well.
God damn that's such a great series of films. Although in my opinion Alien 3 and Alien: Resurrection were just bad dreams that Newt and Ripley had respectively...
Back on topic, I'd be up for going to the London thing. It wouldn't cost NEARLY as much as going to Cardiff would've, since London is just south of here. Could see if one of my friends fancies going too, since he's as much of a fan of Doctor Who as I am :v:

That'd be rather interesting, to see a sort of "alternate sequel" to Aliens, like instead of the events of 3 and Resurrection occuring, something else happens. For example, perhaps in 2179 when Ripley and the survivors of Aliens re-enter cryosleep at the end of Aliens, the eggs left on board by the Queen don't cause the events that led to the opening of Alien 3 (the onboard electrical fire, loading the cryopods into an escape vehicle), and thus the Alien 3 set on Fiorina "Fury" 161 never happens, with the journey to Earth going relatively smoothly for many years as the ship returns to Earth. From this "point of divergence" a few different paths could occur.
One scenario is the first part of the film being similar to the original Alien, Ripley and Newt awake entering the Sol System (passing through the mining-intensive Belt), and after a stretch they soon discover that there were in fact well-preserved eggs left behind by the Queen (likely near cryo storage, keeping them cool for those many years), and that one of them has already opened. When they return to the pods to alert Hicks and Bishop of the danger, they find Hicks's chest burst open, meaning that there's another Xenomorph on board, and the whole film involves finding a way to defeat the Alien and avoid the other Facehuggers that are slowly awakening. Hopefully they manage to "defenestrate" the Alien and Facehuggers before they reach Earth...

Another scenario would be that upon the Sulaco's return to Earth, the suriviors of Aliens start to settle down in their different ways; Ripley officially adopts Newt and raises her like the daughter she used to have, Bishop is repaired or scrapped (or he gets a new body) and, Hicks is struggling to come to terms with his blindness caused by the alien acid near the end of Aliens, either that or he ends up spending money on some sort of advanced bionic eyes to replace his busted ones (being that Aliens is set in the late 22nd century, one can assume that technology is advanced enough for affordable biomechanical prosthetics to be a possibility, even if when we think of that we think of Deus Ex and Augmentations).
A few years after adjusting to life in a dystopian futuristic America (maybe in San Francisco or Manhattan), they wake up one morning to a world being torn apart by Xenomorphs, forcing the characters to fight for their survival again yet. Eventually they discover that there actually were Xenomorph eggs on board the Sulaco, left behind by the Queen and later acquired by Weyland-Yutani, who experimented with them and created more Aliens like the morons they were. From there they could either try to take down the new Queen at the epicentre of the "outbreak" (Outbreak makes it sound like a zombie film, though...), or they attempt to escape the doomed Earth.
Do either of these sound plausible, or do they suck Facehugger ovipositor? The first idea seems more like the original Alien, but the second Earth-bound one sounds kinda like Aliens. Also, I think that even if Ripley destroyed the eggs and Aliens in the "Homeward Bound" concept, perhaps in Weyland-Yutani ended up finding a leftover sample of Xenomorph DNA in some crevice that Ripley forgot to check, or even a hidden egg, that would possibly be enough of a connection between "Homeward Bound" and "Aliens in the City" to make the latter a sequel to the former.
Ideas of an alternate Alien storyline aside, I wonder how the Doctor would cope if he ended up in a story that concerned something very similar to the Xenomorphs; hunted by the most dangerous beast in all the universe, armed with nothing but a Sonic Screwdriver and a packet of Jelly Babies. Invariably Rory would end up punching out a Facehugger before it gets Amy, perhaps with it wrapping itself around his hand, which means he can only punch with that hand until the bloody thing drops off. Though that'd be kinda cool, with Rory having the meanest right-hook in the universe.
"Honestly Rory, you've got an egg-laying alien parasite wrapped around your hand, and all you can think about is how well you can punch with it?" -The Doctor.

Funnily enough, this is exactly how The Angels two parter was advertised.
I wanna see Captain Jack against the Angels. That should be part of the anniversary. Or Torchwood. They'd work in Torchwood
I forgot about that advertising thing, dunno why.
Also Jack'd be a big target for the Angels; since he's immortal (assuming he recovers it at the end of Miracle Day) he's got enough potential time energy to possibly cause some major shit to happen. Then again, since he can't permanently die the Angels probably wouldn't be able to feed off of the PTE, things might get complicated.
It would be like The Curse of The Fatal Death where The Master keeps coming back.
But with Jack. And Angels.
Torchwood ending spoiler [sp]And Rex[/sp]

[sp]The Torchwood ending was great but they did mess up basically everything about Jack.
Don't get me wrong, I loved the episode, it was one of the best in the season in my opinion, but
Jack's blood doesn't make him immortal, the only way I could see Rex becoming immortal is if the Blessing affects time itself.[/sp]
I'm probably gonna wait 'till next Thursday to read those spoilers...
How many hours was it again?
Sorry, timezone trouble :v:
John Simm is about to be on Radio 2 with Noel Gallagher if you miss him.

Ah, well we've seen The Doctor play drums.
Here's The Master playing guitar

When Doctor Who wasn't in TV they had books.
One companion got shagged by this guy

A bit familiar, he shags women, men and anything humanoid really. Reminds me of a Captain..
