The BBC won't axe Doctor Who for at least a couple years. It's their massive money-shitter. [editline]16th June 2011[/editline] :ninja:
Perhaps they're planning something big or its a misread and theyre doing a 2011
Moffat told us that there has been a misunderstanding and to wait and see... so... lets wait and see? *shrug* But it won't be axed before or on it's anniversary year - that would just be Danny Cohen being idiotic.
US shows have more writers so they have more episodes. They also have more filler. British Brevity is a good thing.
I know how TV works and it's not like doctor who doesn't have filler episodes at the moment.
Yeah, but there's fewer fillers in DW than on shows like SGU.
Most of SGU filler episodes where quite enjoyble.
You're joking, right? The first season of SGU was horrible, not only the fillers. The first half of second season SGU wasn't that horrible, but the fillers were at least better than the ones in the first season. The second half of SGU was magnificent, the fillers (which there barely were) were quite good. tl;dr There were few good fillers in SGU, most of them were horrible.
I always found SGU weird in that nothing really much happened but it was still very much entertaining and I was still eager to see the next episode.
SGU was Sci-fi's drama-queen. At least the first and a half season(s)
Need some good speeches from Series 6 of Doctor Who. I have when River talks about empires ripping worlds apart for a cell of the Doctor's and that Doctor/Colonel Runaway one, any others? I also have the bit in the first episode where he says "I've been running" etc
When the Doctor is talking about the Silence signing their own death warrant was pretty good.

I just really don't want to watch it, it feels painful.
It is painful to watch, not because it's bad, but because it's the last season ever of SGU.
I want Canton to return to Doctor Who, Mark Sheppard is a good actor.
He probably will, if the Doctor is going back to 70s America.
To be fair, we know the Doctor will keep on regenerating as the TARDIS says there's 30 desktop themes stored in the archive, and he's had about 12?
I want Canton to return to Doctor Who, Mark Sheppard is a good actor.
I want Canton to be the brigadier of the 60's. [editline]16th June 2011[/editline]
To be fair, we know the Doctor will keep on regenerating as the TARDIS says there's 30 desktop themes stored in the archive, and he's had about 12?
Not desktop themes stored. Entire console rooms. The TARDIS has several console rooms, the 4th Doctor found one ounce and made it into his main one. You just alternate which one you want and the others go into 'storage'
173 posts in the last thread, 6 in this one. Hmm. And Canton's bound to reappear in this series, he somehow knew that the Doctor who died was definitely the Doctor, no other way he could have known that. Plus the Doctor told him the others would need the gasoline, he's got to make at least another appearance.
Hnng.
The US air date for Torchwood: Miracle Day has been known for months – Friday 8th July on Starz. We haven’t been so lucky in the UK. We expected the date to finally be confirmed today as the BBC release programme info for the week up to 8th July. However, the show does not actually appear anywhere in their highlights, now pointing to a later UK broadcast. Given that Miracle Day is a co-production between the BBC and Starz and therefore still part-funded by the UK licence fee, it seems very strange that UK fans will be forced to wait. It’s still possible the show could be added to the schedule as a late addition, but at the moment it doesn’t look good. Source: Doctor Who TV http://doctorwhotv.co.uk/torchwood-to-air-in-us-first-21772.htm#ixzz1PS9Nuxvh
This displeases me.
Just don't blame Stars. BBC is in charge of when things air in the UK. Direct your hate there.
if i were head of bbc, i would commission doctor who to be aired all year round. i would also ban all reality tv shows and talent shows and use the money saved to commission more doctor who. vote dower for a doctor who future
Nah, you can have too much of a good thing. In the mean time have this splendid picture from Doctor Who Magazine about two months ago in its full glory with no text.
Hnng. This displeases me.
The Beeb could leave it ages but air the episodes one after the other rather than on a weekly basic, meaning it could finish before Starz do!

Are you implying they're actually teaching you stuff in school? If so, then we have been fed misinformation by our school.
And there. Thanks to Nyaa for fixing my nyan TARDIS avatar.
And there. Thanks to Nyaa for fixing my nyan TARDIS avatar.
Now you just need to make the TARDIS spin and it's perfect.
Now you just need to make the TARDIS spin and it's perfect.
I know, but I have to completely re-edit it to do that.
