It was a really well acted episode and stuff, but it still kinda felt like a "Nothing" episode when it comes to the main series story line.
That was why I liked it
That was why I liked it
Yeah but the last episode was to.
Yeah but the last episode was to.
It's good to have a break from all the "River's your daughter now I die but not really lol" even if it is replaced from "our child is scared now we doll but not really lol"
Eccleston was good, but my favorite team is Tennant and Piper.

Yeah but Doctor Who seems to follow a strict pattern of Story arc at the Beginning, middle episodes irrelevant (but still good don't get me wrong) and then 2 episodes at the end to finish the story which started at the beginning. It's getting a bit, eh.
This is my favourite team and Doctor I think.
It was beautiful.
Pretty good episode, Oh and if anyone wants to watch the last episode of Torchwood, it's here.

Think they went a little over the top with Oswald at the very end, which is a shame. He's like the bad guy you want to hate but you like. Also ending made me chuckle :v:
i liked this episode but i'm getting bloody sick of robots/enemies who just repeat the same thing over and over and over and over, it just makes it feel like the writers don't give a damn about making enemies we fear or want to remember, they just want generic things running about
also the slow mo at the end made the episode feel incredibly cheesey
also, i know he's a time travel and he has a time machine but why are most episodes about time, in a way that the entire episode revolves around changing time or being stuck in time, something like this new episode
i have high standards and they must be met!
also, the silver fish in minecraft remind me of classic cybermats

This series is getting a little too surreal for my tastes. It's good and all, but I kind of wish for the relative normalness of Tennant/Eccleston sometimes. Ecclestone's series was all about London, in its past and in the present day, and that kind of grounded it in reality a little more. This series is definitely the weirdest yet - they definitely seem reluctant to set episodes in the present day, but then again, that doesn't fit in so well with the its more serial nature.
Fuck, I was sitting in my bed trying to pass the time before the show went on, fell asleep, and missed it.
Could anyone livestream it for me?

I know the Doctor is supposed to love Earth and humans, but sometimes he pushes it a little.
Next week looks really interesting, all of the monsters?
eeee.
When the guy say's there's even a room for the Doctor i hope we get the Master or something inside it that would be awesome or hell even something to do with Galifrey. this weeks episode was a little..........meh tbh.
I agree and Disagree.
I would love for there to be amazing things in the Doctors room, but todays episode was lovely.

Fairly sure it's been following that formula for a good few series with exceptions for things like Dimensions in Time (which was awful, by the way.)
next week's episode seems really awesome, reminds me of The Shining a lot
and weeping angels again hell yeah
Hang-on, I think Doc Doesn't know he has new Regens
But when the Astro shoots him he starts regening
Next week looks really interesting, all of the monsters?

No. Just things people fear like Weeping Angels, Minotaurs, Clowns and puppets.
[editline]10th September 2011[/editline]
The "No regeneration" Wasn't him saying he has none. It was saying it would kill him before he had the chance. Hence the fact it's singular.
Rivers regenerations just brought him back, he maintains his cycle. That makes the most sense. Restores him to how he was. Afterall he regenerates on the beach.

Daleks. Please let there be Daleks.
I'm guessing that's what's in The Doctors rooms. Most feared being in the universe according to websites with the full quote.
[editline]10th September 2011[/editline]
The Angels are in David Walliams' Room. So feel free to assume what Amy and Rory have. To me Amy makes more sense for Angels but whatever.
[editline]10th September 2011[/editline]
Wouldn't it be great
The Doctor: Amy, Rory. This room contains the most feared being in all the universe. This is THE Room of fear.
-Cautiously opens door to reveal a large living room with pane windows and a spiral staircase-
Johnny: Oh HAI Mark
The Doctor: I'm The Doctor..
Johnny: Ihy didnt call yu, itz nut tru. It's BULLshit. Iy did naaaaat!
Amy: Doctor what is it?
The Doctor: Acting. Apparently. RUN!
[editline]10th September 2011[/editline]
Or if The Doctor opens his room to the Doctor Who Facebook fan page.
[editline]10th September 2011[/editline]
Or George arrives and opens a door and The Doctor is inside and he farts- Sorry.
He said "No regenerations!". No regens even after the River-fix.
No. It's because the disease only affects people with two hearts, so if The Doctor got it, it'd stop both of his hearts and he wouldn't be able to regenerate from it.
Shut the front door!
People moaned non stop when every episode was grounded on earth in the gritty of London and now they want it back. What the flying fuck?!
Wasn't Night Terrors in Bristol though?
No. It's because the disease only affects people with two hearts, so if The Doctor got it, it'd stop both of his hearts and he wouldn't be able to regenerate from it.
i hated that, it only affects people with two hearts "OH, WELL THAT'S CONVENIENT" i really think they could have written better lines or given a better reason the doctor should stay in the tardis

would be difficult to reconcile with miracle day if they set it in present
besides one of the biggest complaints of the older series was that it was set in present day london too much
It was fine.
It's not like he could've done any more if he went into the facility.

Noticed how in Night Terrors nobody died. I guess if anybody did the Torchwood fans would bring up the huge moral dilemmas.

It was a Rory/Amy episode. The Doctor was merely a plot device, not a character.

i know, and i like that as the doctor gets very annoying after a while but they could have done something else, it seems lazy, like they've just put down the first idea
Loved this one

Either do one for Amy's Choice or The Girl Who Waited. Your choice
