would be difficult to reconcile with miracle day if they set it in present
Aye, if the Doctor ended up in the midst of that he'd be all like "WHAT", followed by "NOPENOPENOPENOPE" and "You're on your own Jack", 'cause the immortality thing is too freaky even for him, as well as the fact that it's Torchwood's job; they keep the world safe during the times that the Doctor doesn't turn up.
In fact he's probably watching Miracle Day after Amy and Rory retire to their bunkbed, and is all like "glad i'm not sorting out THAT mess".

I doubt it. He'd probably sort something like that out in a few seconds - I'm pretty certain the TARDIS could detect whatever was making everyone on Earth immortal. The only reason the Doctor didn't like Jack being immortal was because Jack was a fixed point in time, which was just.... Well, wrong. Although I haven't seen the most recent Torchwood episode to air in the UK yet, so I don't really know what I'm talking about.
Also, 4000th post :v:
Either do one for Amy's Choice or The Girl Who Waited. Your choice
Please don't do one for The Girl Who Waited.
[editline]11th September 2011[/editline]
It's the only episode that I have thought about more than an hour after it's been on
The Angels are in David Walliams' Room. So feel free to assume what Amy and Rory have. To me Amy makes more sense for Angels but whatever.

I'd argue we don't have to imagine it.
Point taken, But you get my meaning, It would be worse than thousands of daleks and cybermen and angels put together.

Yeah, although that's implying he isn't already.
I mean if he was like it to everyone, not just evil people.
I mean if he was like it to everyone, not just evil people.
I just got severe deja vu from that for some reason. Anyway, who's to say he's not like that to everyone (now I'm just being pedantic)
Oh god this will continue until the Rapture.
Oh god this will continue until the Rapture.
Prove it hasn't
Might just be because I'm tired, but the past few posts seem to have had a sort of "cleverbot vs cleverbot" vibe to them.
I just finished Night Terrors.
Anyone know where I can catch the the next? I already missed it's airing and it looked like a good one.
Nope. The script changed before filming, they added a kov The line wasn't wooden at all. It seemed to me to be a joke to Amy being a doll. They added Kovarian to the pirate one and the pirates themselves to Good man. I wonder if it was supposed to be George and his dad.
The script didn't change before filming. They had already filmed Night Terrors at this point to be part of the first part of the series. The pirate episode was intended for the second half. Once Moffat reviewed what had been done so far, he realised that it was too same-y and scooched up the filming of Curse of the Black Spot in order to fill the gap.
“Night Terrors” was originally planned as episode 4 of Series 6, directly following “The Doctor’s Wife,” hence Rory’s comment, “The TARDIS has gone funny again” – a reference to that episode’s plot and ostensibly why “Night Terrors” was moved to the second half of Series 6, as the companions running lost and scared through darkened corridors for two episodes in a row would have been too repetitive. (Pay no attention to the fact that, as a result, we shoved monsters into closets in two successive episodes.) I did watch to see if there was any tell-tale sign of Ganger Amy, who originally would have been revealed in the following, two-part story. Obviously, Madame Kovarian’s appearance was removed, but one reference still remains: the Doctor mentions to Amy and Rory that it was good to be together again, as a group, “in the flesh.” Why leave this one line, when it no longer serves to foreshadow upcoming episodes? Perhaps because it still does. Is it somehow possible that, since “The Almost People,” we’ve been following the Ganger Doctor? Could Moffat, like Kovarian, fool us not once, but twice, using the same trick?
In other news, TGWW was a brilliant episode. First one to make me cry in a long while and just beautiful :v:
I feel like I'm the only one who didn't like the latest episode, the acting was great n' all but I just didn't find anything in it that great.
Preferred last weeks episode, which I know most of you hated :suicide:

I am a unicorn.
The Girl Who Waited was a cracker of an episode. Timey-wimey, on an alien planet and companion-filled. Crucify me, but episodes like that are the reason I like Doctor Who.

Just finished TGWW, great episode, the next one looks great as well.
Can't wait.
This was a good episode. TBH I really don't like the little "story recap" they do before the intro though.

that only happens on BBC America versions, which are also chopped up a bit for commercials and the like

Well I hate it
I teared up during this episode. That's the most something has got from me.
Anybody else hate how that episode disregarded all precedent?
No? Only me? Oh well.
^ wibbly wobbly timey wimey stuff man
BUT YEAH SPOILERS IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE EPISODE YET.
[sp]Since the Doctor couldn't take two Amy's in the Tardis at the same time, couldn't he just take young Amy somewhere and drop her off real quick leaving old Amy to fight for herself for a bit and then come back to get old Amy and drop her off somewhere else to live out the rest of her life?[/sp]
I thought this episode was good, not great. Also, use [sp] for spoiler tags.
