It is a bit sanity shattering, yes.
But its also mind blowingly awesome.
And story-destroyingly spoilerific.
Well, maybe not, but it's definitely a spoiler.
Amy and Rory haven't left.
They need to be invited to the picnic

I hate it when Christmas specials are always set on Christmas.
All of Time and Space and every year he goes Christmas.
[editline]23rd September 2011[/editline]
Sometimes does it twice. Like 2005
[editline]23rd September 2011[/editline]
Does the Unquiet Dead class as a Christmas special?
If I was having a Christmas marathon I'd count it as 9's.

I thought they already were at the picnic, don't they already know about the Doctor's death?

The Doctor just wants to have a Christmas to look forward to every year :3 Only difference is he doesn't do them chronologically...
So I'm planing to start watching Dr. Who whenever I get done with the 3 shows I got qeued up, my question, considerign that the original Series is like 22 seasons, can I maybe just jump into the new series? or Is there a later season where the whole show only really started?

It's fine to start with the 2005 series 1, everything gets pretty well explained so there is no need to watch the older stuff unless you want to.

I'd rather watch something to do with Christmas at Christmas...

Watch from Eccleston onwards. If you want to cut it down a bit, quite a few of Tennant's episodes can be skipped COUGHLOVEANDMONSTERSCOUGH.
So we had burgers and chips at a place you might recognise today

The 2005 series was built from the ground up to be a good starting point for new viewers, since its target demographic weren't even alive when the original show got cancelled. Everything gets explained nicely but not in a way that bogs down the pacing.
Ecclestone is also a great Doctor and it's a damn shame his experience with the crew was so shitty he didn't want to stay on.
Yeah, I never saw a single episode before the 2005 series started. It's definitely a fresh start.
Good news, everyone!
Unless I'm late, in which case, bad news.
But Series Seven will not actually be a split series, according to Moffat.

Britta throws in that "It's a sci-fi show from England that's been airing since 1962"
Fixed it after re-watching.
I think she said 1962 actually, which is when Doctor who started up right?
Wow.
I wish I had known about The Christmas Carol special.
Oh look DW thread, I broke 3500 posts, now to reach 4k

Best monster ever.
Guys, I just thought.
Instead of the theory that a ganger doctor dies, what if the real doctor dies, but we are left with the ganger doctor? Stephen did say that the doctor was going to die, no cheating his way out of it.
That'd suck. Because whilst it's technically the Doctor in every way, he's not the real Doctor. He's never been to any of the places the real Doctor's been. He's never seen Gallifrey with his own eyes. Etcetera, etcetera.
