I thought that whenever they saw a Silent they remembered all there other encounters with them?
I'm not sure
I assume they would because in the episodes where they are marking themselves or leaving messages whenever they see one, they'd most likely remember because they knew what the Silence was to mark it down. If they didn't know what it was, they probably wouldn't know that that's what they're supposed to mark down.

You could do an awful lot of waving in 200 years. He looked so hollow eyed and lonely. The day before he's due to die and of all former companions he visits Craig? Can't say that'd be on my bucket list. Why not Jamie, or Barbara, or Leela?

He probably visited them already and when he was on his way to die he was all "Oh shit, I forgot about Craig. :O"
Wait a second, are you guys saying it's been 200 years in the Doctor's personal timeline between the last two episodes?
[editline]25th September 2011[/editline]
Because if it is, my brain has officially given up all hope on ever quantifying Doctor Who.

Lake Silencio Doctor claimed to be 1100-something, Diner Doctor was 900-something. LSdoctor wasn't lying, because he had the hat, until River was a bitch and shot it off him(silly tard, that was craig's gift). Doctor leaves them, and knows he dies, and he can't keep delaying it, most likely because that was the last day before it happened.
Doctor leaves the Williams', goes off and does stuff for 200 years, sees Craig, goes to Lake Silencio and dies. That just leaves Ddoctor's time continuum start unsure.

Why, its not hard - He even says "I've been knocking around on my own for a while now and I decided to make a social call"

Does this mean this'll be the last Doctor as we know he dies as Matt Smith?
Or will he probably come back through another plot-hole?

Do you seriously think he is going to just die and that's it? From a narrative perspective, he is going to get out of this in the end.
One thing we know is that his 'death' is recorded as happening at Lake Silencio, Utah. My idea is that he might survive but literally everyone in the universe thinks he died at that point, which is why it's recorded that way in the Tesseract, why everyone has been telling him that he dies, etc. So he fades into total obscurity and noone knows he is alive, thinking he dies, thus being the end of an era for him as the famous "Doctor" where armies would run away at the mention of his name.
I think there's a lot of evidence that shows that everyone thinks he is dead, but he in fact survives.

but as a time traveler he still makes appearences after his death date, so really it should make no difference to the reactions of others
Maybe after 'faking' his death he will regenerate and start a new life of just cruising around time and space?
How long does a timelord usually live for, keeping in mind that each his regenerations start young and "die" of age?
EDIT:
You know what would be hilarious? They go to year 33 and there's a twist where Jesus turns out to be a timelord.
I'm putting my chips on Timey Wimey Screw Destiny; Matt's been signed on until 2015 after all and Series 7 is confirmed; there's no way this is the end. Unless, of course, he has last-minute regrets and breaks the rules; sending a telepathic message of what he's learned back to his past self (just after God Complex) similar to what Raiden did in the latest Mortal Kombat game, giving the Doctor 200 years and several series' worth of adventures and investigation to discover the true motives of the Silence and how to stop them.
I know interfering with one's own timestream is against the rules, but that's why it's so significant; he breaks a very important rule and there are many consequences as a result.

He probably visited all his human friends. In order. Meaning last would be Amy, Rory and Craig. He invited the first 2 to his own funeral so a home call to craig was expected. I love how to insure Amy and Rory wouldn't be hurt he invited them from BEFORE he actually left them. That's sweet.
Know how Karen said she's going to be in Series 7? She never said as a companion. There were rumours but I'm beginning to highly expect she's only back for Christmas. That's why filming is starting AFTER Christmas this year. To keep secret the fact Christmas is her last episode.
From filming reports [sp]Scenes with the gang take place back at Amys house. What if The Doctor takes them adventuring and they decide they're not into it any more and have made lives for themselves while he's been gone.[/sp]
Know how at the end of the series with RTD we would sometimes get a brief TARDIS scene which ends on a sorta-cliff hanger
Series 1 - Regeneration
Series 2 - Donna
Series 3 - Titanic-5th Doctor
Series 4 - Alarmingly Miserable Doctor
I always liked those little things. How cool would it be if next series ends with The Doctor going to pull a leaver in The TARDIS when an arm in a brown pinstripe suit suddenly leans in and pulls it for him. And it pans up to show The Tenth Doctor. Eleven does "What?" thing as Ten smiles and shouts "ALLLON-SY" and pulls down on another leaver and BAM cliffhanger.
The whole world would shit itself in anticipation.

Moffat writing he'd probably regenerate into the little girl who was in the astronaut suit.
OH SHIT
Was there ever any proof that Matt and Karen were signed on for Series 7, or is it just what they've stated themselves? Because otherwise (like I've said before) it could be that they're not allowed to say that they're NOT signed up for next series, and just lie to make people shut up. Silly idea, but it could work.
And I have this grave feeling that The Doctor will regenerate. Or die. Or live on.
Jesus christ, is it saturday yet?
'Oh, you've redecorated... I don't like it.'
Can anybody name the four characters who have said this in Doctor Who history?

They're not usually allowed to say a thing.
But this was announced at Comic Con :)

Ohh, I didn't know the 5th said it to tennant. And I accidently counted the second doctor as two separate characters. I thought the fifth went on about desktop settings?

Eleventh Doctor to Craig

I don't understand why they would do that. It really ruins the surprise, because a lot of people don't expect spoilers on interviews, and that's a preeeetty major spoiler.

Just rewatched it on YouTube, he says something like "You've changed the desktop settings! What is this, Coral?" Doesn't say he doesn't like it though.

Sorry, I didn't see the last episode before asking this. I didn't realize they were using that story already.
Does the latest episode mean the old style of cybermen no longer exist? And has their method of Upgrading changed?
Does the latest episode mean the old style of cybermen no longer exist? And has their method of Upgrading changed?
If you want to be pedantic, technically this IS the old style of Cyberman, since these are supposed to be the original Mondas Cybermen, which date from the '63 series of Doctor Who. 2005 Cybus Cybermen are the new ones.

Do the Cybus Cybermen even exist in the current universe anymore? I'd imagine they were all trapped in Petes World but I'm not sure.
The cybermen from the alt world are gone.
Last episode was Mondas. Hence putting the whole body in the suit and converting like that.
Also in Pandorica opens, the Cyberhead that attacked Amy opened and a head dropped out not a brain. These were also from the other universe.
Maks me wonder why we ever had the alt-universe cybermen. Why not just show the origin of the Mondas ones.
