Phillips or flat head?
A DW thread and you ask that question? :|
There's a petition against the ending of Confidential if anyone wants to sign http://www.petitionbuzz.com/petitions/savedwc Also after the season finale I guess River has gone forever, since Alex Kingston has signed to be a regular in another show next year?
What show is she doing? Also, I worry that River may well be put on a bus at some point and not be seen or heard of for 5-6 years, which defeats the point of the character really. Of course. Everyone knows that everyone dies; but the skies would grow dark if, even for a mere moment, the Doctor accepted it. Not to forget that time can be rewritten, and things can change. Not all things; there are fixed points in time, but some things can still be altered.
Of course. Everyone knows that everyone dies; but the skies would grow dark if he, even for a mere moment, accepted it.
what [editline]28th September 2011[/editline] your post made zero sense fyi
Don't you remember Forest of the Dead? (ok, fixed it so it made more sense; I don't need any more beatings today)
What show is she doing?
Upstairs Downstairs, apparently. http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/tv/s7/doctor-who/news/a342199/doctor-whos-alex-kingston-joins-upstairs-downstairs.html
Don't you remember Forest of the Dead? (ok, fixed it so it made more sense; I don't need any more beatings today)
no I meant that you were implying that he wouldn't accept that river died he went through a whole arc about this in the waters of mars
Upstairs Downstairs, apparently. http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/tv/s7/doctor-who/news/a342199/doctor-whos-alex-kingston-joins-upstairs-downstairs.html
3 episodes though - or at least if it follows the same formula as before. It may be cancelled also
Some stuff Arthur Darvill had to say about The Wedding of River Song [sp]I asked him if there was anything at all he could reveal about The Wedding of River Song, and after a while he said “Make sure you keep an eye on Rory’s right hand.” and then as he was about to walk away he said “And you might want to re-watch the library episodes and pay closer attention.” [/sp] I think: [sp] Rory is actually from the 51st Century, he was in the Library when everyone was 'saved' and we catch a glimpse of him at the end, he was a cleric who was sent back in time to impregnate Amy with Melody. He was conditioned as a child just like Melody to do this, he was sent back as a baby as an adopted child. When something happens, the real 'Rory' is activated and becomes completely loyal to the Church - This is the Good Man River kills, Rory Williams was a good man, but his personality disappears when Cleric Rory comes to the fore. [/sp]

So there's stuff in the [sp]Library episodes[/sp] that might give some indication of what's going to happen in the next episode? Moffat, you sneaky bastard.
Just rewatched Silence in the Library yesterday, as it happens. I thought River seemed different - but then I thought well, she was a new character and she hadn't had a chance to develop much in one episode

Oh god. SATURDAY WHY ARE YOU NOT HERE YET
Okay another theory: [sp] Rory is named The Silence. When the alien race called the Silence tell Amy "You will bring the Silence", they knew Rory would come to her rescue. When Rory is guarding River at the end of the Impossible Astronaut, it looks like he's about to get shocked, but he's fine at the beginning of the next episode. They knew he was one of their Order, so they let him live. The Doctor has to die to make Silence Fall, AKA, Kill Rory. When Doctor about to die is talking to River at the lake, and we see it from afar, he's asking her the question, which makes Silence fall. [/sp]
I realised that petrichor is an anagram of chiropter (a winged mamal with forelimbs that have been modified into wings, bats for example). Maybe that could mean something.
I realised that petrichor is an anagram of chiropter (a winged mamal with forelimbs that have been modified into wings, bats for example). Maybe that could mean something.
Petrichor is an actual word used to describe the smell of rain.
Petrichor is an actual word used to describe the smell of rain.
I know.
I'm rewatching Silence In the Library and Forest of the Dead
How long does a timelord usually live for, keeping in mind that each his regenerations start young and "die" of age? EDIT: You know what would be hilarious? They go to year 33 and there's a twist where Jesus turns out to be a timelord.
In City of the Dead, they implied that Jesus was an alien. Douglass Adams wrote that one.
Like last series, (series 5, not the first half of 6) I'm sure everyone's overcomplicating matters, and the ending is going to be something obvious that we overlooked. Hence the "haven't you figured it out yet?" quote that was taken out of context in the trailer for the second half of the series.
I just finished the Library 2 part... ready for Saturday, hope I remember. [editline]29th September 2011[/editline] At the end of "Forest of the Dead" River Narrates saying "Everybody dies.... and Nobody knows that better then the Doctor" also "Everybody knows that everybody dies... but not everyday"
ElectronicG19 I would be very surprised if your theories actually turned out to be correct considering they don't make any sense whatsoever
I just noticed this on the TARDIS wiki "Idris used the word "Petrichor" as part of the key to open a back-up TARDIS control room." also regarding Closing Time "Writer Gareth Roberts confirmed in an interview that this is indeed two hundred years after The God Complex for the Doctor, and that he spent these years "waving" at Amy and Rory through history books. (The Impossible Astronaut)" Sorry if some of this has been mentioned before.
ElectronicG19 I would be very surprised if your theories actually turned out to be correct considering they don't make any sense whatsoever
Reading over them now, they look like ravings of a madman. I apologise for inflicting my inane ramblings onto you guys

But Rivers story does seem to have reached an end. [editline]29th September 2011[/editline] Shit I wish I could've met Arthur and David. Fuck. Cunt. Also according to Doctor Who magazine this episode takes place in Rivers timeline just after last nights dramatic events and simultaneously after The Time of Angels/Flesh and Stone

Just had a look and Tardis-Wiki and it says this 'Amy and Rory see future versions of themselves in 2020 from a distance, seemingly revisiting their past adventure and watching their past (current, from a series perspective) selves. However, this may change; as the Doctor says, "time can be re-written."
