Oh my fucking god that's how he did it.
Doctor WHO? i asked it.
Lol i was right also
Question is obvious but no one got it
That was FUCKING awesome.
i really liked it
Oh god how did no-one think that was his escape plan. Holy shit that was fucking well played.
The Teselecta has quite fancy regeneration effects.
I saw that coming as soon as he met them again
That was amazing.
I'm annoyed about one thing: The plot arc still hasn't been resolved! Another year of the same arc!
That was... anticlimactic. Still, I guess they're setting up next series.
So Kovarian is still alive and the Silence are still active. Oh gee.
Can someone translate that episode into english please?
I think I figured out what might be missed in Silence in the Library. It's a tiny detail, but a fairly major one if you think about Moffat's long-running plans and how he never seems to waste a hint. First of all, I think that the question is [sp]"Doctor who?"[/sp]. In this clip (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EXR3Jw4U0s4) it's stated that [sp]"At the fall of the Eleventh, where no living creature can speak falsely or fail to answer, a question will be asked"[/sp] In Silence in the Library, when the Doctor is talking about how River knows his name, he says that there's only one time he actually [sp]could tell what his name was.[/sp] Steven Moffat has talked a lot about how he wants to convey the power of [sp]the Doctor's name[/sp] - this would fit in with that - if the Doctor has to go as far as [sp]allowing himself to die to avoid answering the question,[/sp] it would certainly show that. The question has to be something pretty dramatic and have some sort of meaning behind it, and I think this fits perfectly. [editline]1004pm[/editline] In that video, it's also said to be [sp]"The first question, the oldest question, hidden in plain sight"[/sp] which interpreted in the right way could point to that.
Winner.
I liked it! Seems that confidential is half an hour later than usual though. :-(
I didn't get what the FUCK happened in that episode, probably because I watched it 9 mins after it started. What happened in the first 10 minutes?
I mean, I enjoyed the hole "[sp]He didn't rewrite it, he just exploited a loophole![/sp]" thing, but... I'm at a loss :v:
The Teselecta has quite fancy regeneration effects.
This.
That was incredibly disappointing. I mean, I love Doctor Who. And I've enjoyed a lot in this series. But that... That was just disappointing.
I really enjoyed that and left with a huge grin on my face. At least it wasn't the power of love guys!
Still I hope the next series actually features him doing his fighting aliens thing like in the Closing Time episode.
I'm annoyed about one thing: The plot arc still hasn't been resolved! Another year of the same arc!
It has. Plot arc = Doctor dying. It just turns out that him dying on the beach wasn't the death the poem told of. [editline]1st October 2011[/editline]
I really enjoyed that and left with a huge grin on my face. At least it wasn't the power of love guys!
When you think about it- everything was resolved with a wedding.
Still I hope the next series actually features him doing his fighting aliens thing like in the Closing Time episode.
Closing Time was my favourite episode in ages
Half an hour until last confidential. [release]When Time Froze Actress Alex Kingston provides an explanation of River Song's complex timeline with the Doctor, and The Script to Screen contest draws to a close with Death Is the Only Answer, a three-minute episode written by the pupils of Oakley Junior School in Basingstoke, Hampshire, in which the Doctor make use of a little-known Time Lord weapon before helping a fellow time-traveller find his way home.[/release]
Can someone translate that episode into english please?
Basically. The Doctor that died on the beach was a robot. The other stuff was a result of River refusing to kill The Doctor. I have no IDEA why they had to get married.
Closing Time was my favourite episode in ages
It was essentially the Doctor doing what he does best. An old enemy with new goals and then when they're about to succeed the Doctor stops them brilliantly. That's what I always enjoy.
Closing Time stood out as it didn't try to hard. It was just silly running around ala Scooby Doo. It was great. But a whole series of that would be horrible. Writers need to strike a balance and not try hard hitting/complex/emotional shit every week. [editline]1st October 2011[/editline]
It was essentially the Doctor doing what he does best. An old enemy with new goals and then when they're about to succeed the Doctor stops them brilliantly. That's what I always enjoy.
And to be fair. We've had that every week. Apart from the old enemy stuff, but I don't want an old enemy to return every week.
That was incredibly disappointing. I mean, I love Doctor Who. And I've enjoyed a lot in this series. But that... That was just disappointing.
It felt like filler, too. I won't put it past Moffat, it was incredibly creative. But god dammit. Okay, you guys don't want to hear my incessant bitching so I won't carry on. Things I enjoyed! I thought the fact that all of time was converging on one single point on time was hilariously neat and creative, not to mention the speech between the Doctor and Churchill ("We seem to be defending ourselves"). Also the tesselecter stuff was pretty well thought out. Also when the Doctor is talking to Churchil about 'the question', there is a brief moment where the soundtrack used some variations on some familiar "wedding song" chords. I dunno, my memory is a bit foggy. And Doctor Who is getting meta -- not sure what to think. I can't help but feel no questions brought up last series were answered though. I hope they proceed to answer shit next series. >:[ I thirst for why the tardis went all explodey.
Question is obvious but no one got it
Someone posted it yesterday I think.
I don't think I'm going to really follow Doctor Who now. Expected timey wimey stuff.
