The Water of Mars?
Amazing
I guess they could've toned down the "TIME SHALL BOW DOWN TO MEEE" factor a little, but that's pretty much the only gripe I had with the episode - other than that, I thought it was awesome. The last quarter of Love and Monsters made me want to kill myself, though. Okay, not really, but it did completely ruin what could've otherwise been an interesting episode (along with stupid stuff like the Scooby-Doo-esque scene with the Doctor and Rose chasing after the Hoix with that bucket, or whatever). Would've been absolutely spot on in something like the Sarah Jane adventures, obviously with the characters somehow added into it, but not in Doctor Who.
Nah I still think the mockumentary format could be applied to Doctor Who. Something like District 9 would be cool.
I don't like how people are comparing showing the time war to the clone war. George Lucas wanted to re-take the top grossing movie spot, and the details were an after thought. If he had an artistic or creative interest in the story, it would've been good.
And people just want a Doctor Who movie. If there's a creative interest in the story, it would be good.
Moffat's great at creating suspense and SHIT at resolving it One thing that pisses me off is how he makes these huge fucking suspense things which fail to be relevant. Like "The Pandorica will open". It opened for like 10 seconds then closed and then its opening was not really of much significance because the Doctor was able to get out of it so easily. Or the whole Melody Pond thing which was just poor. Its sad, because to me in the whole modern series of Who the best episode to me is still both Blink and the Girl in the Fireplace. None of the Matt Smith episodes even get close to matching that and I feel they should. The ones that come close are in my opinion Doctor's Wife, Pandorica Opens and the Eleventh Hour. Its a shame Moffat's brilliance, which obviously does exist, hasn't translated itself well.
So I just spent five months watching six seasons of Doctor Who. And then I find out it won't return for another year.

The guy worked hard on it, doesn't matter if you didn't like it, of course he gave a damn. And it's the official moffat reason from Moffs mouth.
(not made by me) [editline]20th October 2011[/editline] and also something pretty sad http://www.geeksaresexy.net/2011/10/20/in-memory-of-ryan-jones/ all ratings may want to be changed
Aw man, that sucks. [editline]20th October 2011[/editline] In other news, got my jacket, bowtie and shirt. ordered the boots
Aw man, that sucks. [editline]20th October 2011[/editline] In other news, got my jacket, bowtie and shirt. ordered the boots
Where did you get the shirt?
Where did you get the shirt?
Shirt that I had lying around. It's actually white, but if I can find a powder blue shirt I'll use it instead.
Shirt that I had lying around. It's actually white, but if I can find a powder blue shirt I'll use it instead.
Oh. I've been looking for a shirt with the red stripes on the cuffs but I haven't had any luck. I though you had one of those.

Rumours circulating next season is Matts last http://www.doctorwhonews.net/2011/10/dwn211011123008-matt-smith-talks-usa.html
Fuck that I really want a doctor that just stays for a good number of seasons and doesnt get old and is a constant just for a bit, is that too much to ask in this day and age (probably)
Time waits for nobody these days, but Matt really should stay on until AT LEAST 2013.
That sucks. I was just starting to like him. They better have someone awesome as the next doctor.
That sucks. I was just starting to like him. They better have someone awesome as the next doctor.
Bring back 10th.
That would be stupid. I'd stop watching.
While tenth was my favorite it would be pretty dumb if they brought him back. Maybe for an episode but not a whole season.
No, I meant like a different actor but same personality, not exact but close.
That's just a new doctor, not ten.
I want a stern Doctor to be 12, 10 and 11 have been bouncy and nice.
I want a stern Doctor to be 12, 10 and 11 have been bouncy and nice.
Yeah something more like Eccleston (and the older doctors) Mostly stern and serious, sometimes mean but still has a bit of cheery side
I want an arrogant Doctor. Ala Sherlock and House
I want an arrogant Doctor. Ala Sherlock and House
6th Doctor was pretty arrogant and rude. he also had terrible sense in fashion
I think 6 was awesome. Just not right for the 80's audience at all. Let down by terrible budget. I mean shit- Star Wars was out, and look at Doctor Who.
Watching the classic series. I'm already in love with Jon Pertwee.
