Rumours circulating next season is Matts last http://www.doctorwhonews.net/2011/10/dwn211011123008-matt-smith-talks-usa.html
But I really like Matt Smith :smith: And only three seasons? He deserves way more than that. Although he's bouncy and fun on the outside, you can see an almost sadistic side to him when they take Amy (setting an execution order on the silence, the Colonel Run Away thing, etc).
youre becoming the new CG.
the irony centre of my brain just formed a singularity
i was talking about that painting you hopped up sperg. i have the right to hate on tennant anyway, all you've done for the past five pages is mope about how matt smith sucks and OMG BRING TENNONT BACK!!11 [editline]23rd October 2011[/editline] youre becoming the new CG.
but..what. my brain just imploded
I miss the Master. I hope there is a tiny plothole that Russell t. Davies added, which could somehow bring back the Master. Even if John Simm doesn't play him, it'd be nice to have at least 1 more timelord in the Doctor Who universe. Or they could bring back Rani...
Technically hes still alive in the Time Lock but I doubt they'll go the whole break out the time lock route again. Unless breaking out once weakened it or something.
Well technically the Master's still rather unstable, even moreso due to the botched resurrection (Thanks Lucy). But now he knows his madness wasn't actual madness, if he ever returned he would probably be seeking a cure for his "condition", and likely end up working with the Doctor to such ends. Most likely the "condition" he wants cured is the energy vampirism he had during The End of Time, since that's the more urgent and "lethal" one, although he also might be seeking the cure to his main condition, the constant drumming in his head that drove him insane, since now he knows it was planted in his head, he might want it removed... But if he doesn't seek a cure at all, he'd probably come back as the maniac vampire he was in The End of Time, though I doubt many of us approve of the energy vampire version of the Master.
well fine, i'll just leave
So I've been reading up on some Doctor Who history, and is it me, or was Doctor Who originally more like a live action version of The Magic School Bus? [editline]23rd October 2011[/editline] (in a good way)

Add an eyepatch and the sinister evilness of it is complete. Also, is it just me or do those white things remind me of fairy wings for some odd reason?
Nah, you're just crazy... :v: Also, no Vampires in Venezia, as far as I can tell. Lots of mask shops though. And water. And gondolas. By the way, during Vampires in Venice, were there any bits that featured St. Marks square? Because that place is AWESOME. Cold as hell up that tower (the name of which escapes me), though. You know the one. Hopefully.
Moffat worked with Jackson and Spielberg on Tintin. He dropped out when he got Doctor Who. So two new writers came in to finish the script. But I'm curious to see how Moffat writes non-Who since doing Who.
I forget, were there any scenes that featured the Rialto?

Matt was on Ferguson AGAIN the other day Also the DVD box set for series 5 had 2 bonus scenes? Series 6 will not. It will have "5 X ‘Night And The Doctor’ Additional Scenes"

That was hilarious but what in the name of sanity is he wearing? Appart from the hat, which I really hope the Doctor wears sometime, that is just weird.
Matt looks like a giant hipster.
I want his bowler hat, bowler hats are cool.
Matt still comes off as the poncey, artsy "moody" student type to me, Even though he's not, It's just the goddamn way he dresses.
I finally got around to finishing my TARDIS model and whipped up a wallpaper. [t]http://fc07.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2011/296/7/1/tardis_wallpaper_1_by_evil_policeman-d4ds8m8.png[/t] Gallery (which has some WIPs of the model) C&C?
I dunno if you guys have seen this but I went to the london tech show on Saturday and this baby was there:
Now THAT'S a computer tower. Did you manage to get the lowdown on the machine's specs?
Now THAT'S a computer tower. Did you manage to get the lowdown on the machine's specs?
I don't know about anything else, but the GPUs are 3 GTX 580 in 3-way SLI. How does it all fit? Why, it's bigger on the inside, ofcourse. But in all seriousness, I don't see that having high-end hardware at all.
Sounds nice, even though i'm not much of a tech wizard. Though judging by the two wire-covered holes, I guess it's got two cooling fans, important additions since hardware gets damaged when it overheats, which is why many custom-built machines boast powerful cooling systems. I wonder, if computers had external heat sinks that could easily be swapped out, like magazines for a weapon or cartridges for those old-school games consoles, would the convenience of decreasing the heat buildup be worth the effort of switching out heat carts, or would it just be simpler to just have a good internal cooling system?

My room hardly ever has any other heating on during fall because the computer is enough to keep it warm. Then again, I live in a mediterranean country... But in big server farms, that's exactly what they do, use some of the heat from the computers to heat up the offices and whatnot.

Next they will be using the heat to create electricity - pretty hot computers though.
