Yeah one lives down the road and drinks tea, eats crumpets and plays cricket. We're all so fucking British here.
Do you still have our prisoners?

Yeah, we all look like Saxton Hale too, even the women.
To be fair my Grandpa was British, but he died waaay before I was born so I nether got to know him. Rather sad really, He came during WWII as a child and his mother back in Britain kept on Harassing him for money.
Anyway, on a lighter note, a friend of mine thinks that all British people look like fish, anyone willing to confirm this?
I want a Scottish flag instead of a UK one under my avatar.

There's only one woman in Australia? Not surprising.

In February, Doctor Who writer Mark Gatiss revealed he was changing the title of Series 6′s ninth episode from What Are Little Boys Made Of? to either House Call or Night Terrors. The reason being it was considered too long.
On Danny Baker’s Radio 5 show yesterday, he confirmed that the final title he settled with is Night Terrors.

Night terrors is pretty cool. This one better be good. He wrote a REALLY good episode of Sherlock.
The renamed title reminds me of this:
I always suspected they wanted to move the show to darker times. The whole Series 6 split to me looked like an excuse to test ratings. Have a few episodes during the summer, a few during the darker and see if the weather is the genuine reason people aren't watching. The Series 6 mid series cliffhanger looked rushed as sin. It was hyped as a piece of genius yet the only 'cliff hanger' there was 'Where has The Doctor gone?'
Plus ratings DOUBLE during the darker months. We could end up with an average of 10 to 12 million viewers a week. Then the BBC can launch sensational headlines like "Doctor Who doubles ratings" to draw even more of an audience in.
[editline]19th June 2011[/editline]
After they got a few ratings in for the second part they'll announce the plan for 2012, watch.
[editline]19th June 2011[/editline]
And to be honest. I don't mind Doctor Who in the darker months. It seems nothing but good to me.
It seems slightly absurd that Moffat has a license to blow millions of pounds on a little experiment.

That was exactly what I thought it would be. Kindred spirits, bro.

The Great Game?
Made my own Who trailer last night and today and pretty happy with how its turned out, with it being one of my first goes at this sort of stuff. Watch it in HD if you have a connection good enough for that.

Only thing with it is the voices are a little quiet so maybe I should fix that but it took forever to upload on my Spanish connection so I'll just leave it how it is for now.
So is Part 2 of S6 going to be Companion light until like the last 2 eps?

Not that I'm aware of, I believe Amy and Rory will be in all the episodes unless I've missed something.

I'm going to be honest: it wasn't very good. Felt more like a "Series 6 Greatest Hits" compilation than an actual trailer.
[editline]19th June 2011[/editline]
Plus whenever you use the music from the original trailer you tend to get railroaded into following the editing structure of that trailer, which inevitably results in a poorer version. This is particularly noticeable during the very beginning and the very end.
So is Part 2 of S6 going to be Companion light until like the last 2 eps?
No... But apparently Episode 1 is Doctor Lite
Episode 12 is companion lite [sp]As Amy seemingly leaves The Doctor at the end of 11, atleast that's what we can tell from pictures. And the fact Amy and Rory aren't in Episode 12. Not sure about 13[/sp]
This series doesn't end with a two part finale. However the series does end on a cliffhanger.
To be honest the last episode didn't wow me, it all seemed like one big excuse to leave it at a cliff-hanger for the mid-series. It was very fun and well put together but they made it out to be this huge thing, then 'hey look everyone is running we won the battle for demon's run'.
Wasn't really a battle either. It was a huge build up for something very little.
Makes me wish Doctor Who had a bigger budget like the HBO shows.

Imagine what this would be with moff's writing and game of thrones' production values...

It would be quite bigger with larger production values and budgets, even though the story is what matters for most of us. But they've gotta work with what they got. I dunno whether or not it has anything to do with being funded by the main broadcasting organisation in the UK, though i'm pretty sure the BBC is an autonomous broadcaster, and isn't state-owned or anything.
Team up BBC with HBO much like they did with Starz for Torchwood. It'd produce some interesting results. HBO are fantastic at making quality TV and they would keep true to the origins of the show like they've done with Game of Thrones.

Have to say, that's looking pretty sweet.
But many people consider doctor who a children’s show and HBO would be all like 'this episode needs more sex scenes!'
