Why do they call these prequels and not previews?

To get our hopes up before crushing them slightly?
The [sp]ship that exploded[/sp] kind of looked like [sp]a slightly redder, more evil version of[/sp] this

Am I a terrible person if I think this is good news
Partially. It is good news for the writing community, bad news for him and his partner.

Indeed, looks very reminiscent. Only thing it lacked was [sp]Chief charging through several Elites[/sp].

Yes, you fucking are. Thought I'd better let you know!
It's neither; it is grey news. On one hand Russell won't have time to write for Who and suchlike, which is kind of beneficial since the Deus ex Machina isn't exactly the best of resolutions (may have worked for simple Greek folk back in the days of Ancient Greece, but modern folk don't appreciate the overuse of cheap tricks too much), but on the other hand his partner is suffering from fucking BRAIN CANCER, so that's a bad thing since ANY kind of cancer is bad, let alone cancer in the brain of someone's loved one.
Whether the two balance eachother out is questionable; a person having a close partner with a life-threatening ailment is far more important than writing for a TV show, even if it is one of the most influential sci-fi series' of the modern era.
This is a terrible personal tragedy for RTD.
Even if you don't like his writing he did revive Doctor Who when it had been ditched and almost forgotten by the BBC
I hope his partner will recover and live on for many years
Indeed; we have that much to thank him for at least. Without him Doctor Who would probably have never resurfaced back in 2005. For that, we should be thankful, despite his usage of the god-statue being lowered onto the stage. (apparently that's what the Greeks did with deus ex machina, lowering the statue of a god to wrap up the story, or something like that)
I actually thought Russel was an amazing writer, and I feel really bad that you guys are giving him shit even with the kind of state he and his lover are in.
it's sad to hear about Davis' partner, hope he's alright.
also, two new clips of the christmas special including Bill Bailey!

Why would you NOT mistake wool for firearms? that stuff is lethal is the wrong hands!

I know it's from last year, but it goes with the snow.

Anyone have a good streaming site until season 6 gets on netflix? I wanted to wait until it was avalible legit, but S6 has been over for months and it's still not on yet.
Or alternatively, a cheap place to find S6 on DVD.

I'm with Rager here, Netflix needs to put on soon. I'm getting tired of all this violence on Torchwood.
I am extremely upset. I let a friend see my sonic screwdriver today, and now it's broken :suicide: :suicide: :suicide: :suicide: :suicide: :suicide: :suicide: :suicide: :suicide: :suicide:

May or may not be the new Adventure Game.
dat cloyster bell
I'll check that video out in the morning, fellow FPWhovians.
Thinking about it, we don't have a proper group title. This must be rectified. I mean, "that lot who regular the FP Doctor Who thread" doesn't really seem that good a name.
We have a group
It's called foreveraloners
link please

Maybe you, mate.
Actually, FPWhovians sounds like a viable name for us; if we ever have any interest in the Doctor Who MMO that should be the name of our guild.
If that is an adventure game, then why is it also for the PS3?
Probably isn't, although it could be a game that is an adventure...
