When is the Christmas special?
Christmas day 7pm.
Holy SHIT, so I just realized the soundtrack for Series 6 released yesterday, I found this preview of it on Youtube, and holy FUCK these sound epic/epical/whatever
Too bad the ratio of original music to music reused from Series 5 was low in Series 6.
http://www.cabletv.com/doctor-who-timeline
That timeline is bullshit since it doesn't take into account time loops, characters meeting in the wrong order, etc. Something like this, that encompassed the whole Doctor Who canon, would be something to behold.
It's not bullshit - it's talking about the series from a real-life perspective, rather than treating the fictional universe as real. It's more to do with the actors that played the Doctor and how long they played the roles, the stories they were involved in and who they starred with.

It's also probably impossible.
Doing something like http://xkcd.com/657/ for Doctor Who would be amazing. It's also probably impossible.
Probably not impossible just very, very time consuming and possibly not doable on a 2d plane (at least not while still being intelligible).
I still can't comprehend that I'll never get to watch the entire "The Tenth Planet" serial :C

This would be interesting: http://blastr.com/2011/12/helen-mirren-wants-to-sta.php
This would be interesting: http://blastr.com/2011/12/helen-mirren-wants-to-sta.php
Probably not as the Doctor, somehow I really think a woman would not do the role justice because he has been played by men all these years, it would be weird to just switch to a woman. She looks like she could do for some evil villain type of character though :v:

I wouldn't care if there was a female Doctor, just not Helen Mirran ...
she could be the master, that'd actually be pretty awesome
The Mistress - don't forget the kinky bondage latex suit and whip. Oh god :suicide:
IMO the Doctor should always be a white male
IMO the Doctor should always be a white male
British society has more than one racial demographic you know ...
IMO the Doctor should always be a white male
I could easily imagine a black Doctor or any other race for that matter, so long as he was doctorish enough. I do think it would be difficult to have a woman actor play the part well.
she could be the master, that'd actually be pretty awesome
Helen Mirren as a female Master could probably work.
British society has more than one racial demographic you know ...
really thanks for that I hadn't noticed
To interrupt your bickering, I present to you a question. Why does the media call people who watch Doctor Who regularly Whovians? It's kind of annoying from my view.
they've been called that for quite a while, i think even since the original series. it's by far not the worst; game of thrones fans are becoming known as "thronies" you all know what that sounds like.
I love Glee but gleek is a terrible name. Seriously, there is no reason to call someone a name based on something they like probably.
I'd rather just be referred to as "he watches doctor who. But eh, not here for complaint. I finished up Torchwood as well as every single episode of the new series of Doctor Who on Netflix. Now I'm watching The Walking Dead waiting for season 6.
I'm sorry, but I just don't think a Doctor as a black guy or a woman would do well for an actual season. It's not about catering to different demographics, it's who the freaking character is. That's like saying that having P Diddy be James Bond would be a good idea; it's not. It's just not the character. As a special or something, yes. A female Doctor or different race Doctor would be cool. But as a series? Definitely not.
