Sylvester McCoy was good as the Doctor too.
Well, at least I think so.
I enjoyed him as well and he's still working, (in the hobbit if I'm not mistaken), I wouldn't mind if he had a small bit in the 50th anniversary.
I was thinking, seeing as threads don't get locked on posts now, why don't we rename this Version 11 since it's the 11th reincarnation?
Can't wait till the 11th doctor gets ditched.
Why.
What about "Trust the Moff" for the next title?
I don't really get this, didn't they say the christmas episode was the finale to the series, and it tied up with the first episode?
I feel like I've missed 2 episodes seeing the christmas special.

the whole bit with the doctor thinking the ponds thinking he was dead was really weird for me, because i wasn't sure if this was trying to be set up as a fact or not.
because i distinctly remembered the ponds knowing he was alive at the end of season 6. the whole "setting the table for him" is a trend that usually applies to the deceased, and their reaction was more of a "we always believed you were still alive" rather than "well yeah river told us a couple years ago"

But you can say there was always a seat for him at the dinner table because he was family, literally.
This is late, I guess, but I found it Hilarious. :v:

Wasn't the last scene of the last episode River telling the Ponds he was alive? And the Doctor didn't know that happened, so as far as he knew only River knew he was still alive.
The writing really needs to improve in the next series. I'm starting to not like Matt Smith because of the writing though I still say that Series 5 was the best series of New Who to date

27th of September, here's my proof
Y'know, if there was the Bad Wolf, who were the three little pigs?
I assume that Margeret Blaine, aka Blon Felfotch Passameer-Day Slitheen, was the pig who made her "house" out of "straw"; a plan that attracted the Doctor's attention and ultimately turned her back into an egg, as the Bad Wolf blew that house down when she accidentally ripped the TARDIS open and gazed upon it's soul.
Then came the Daleks, the pig that made their "house" out of "sticks"; a bit sturdier kind of plan that almost succeeded in destroying humanity in the 2002nd century (Bad Wolf/The Parting of The Ways), but was nonetheless turn to dust by the atom-dividing breath of the Bad Wolf, blowing that house down and saving what remained of the Earth.
As for the pig whose house was made of bricks, I am unsure. Perhaps it was the Doctor, whose plan saved the Bad Wolf from itself. Or was it Astrid/TARDIS, whose plan alongside Eleven returned her to her body after House evicted her?
Or could it be that I am thinking too deeply, AGAIN?

Last sentence sums it up.
Just finished watching the Utopia three parter and then Blink with the family (sister was watching 'em, we all joined in :v: ). My mum and sister reckon that Sally Sparrow and Larry Nightingale were what Amy and Rory were based on, and I have to say, I agree. I mean, Sally's even dressed a little like Amy when she's in the abandoned house in the beginning of the story.
Aaah, I can't get over how great that episode is! :v:

Indeed, rather clever thing they did.
Happy new year, fellas and fella-ettes

I'm glad I stayed clear of all fan, media and press leading up to the episode. Because I thought that episode was fucking amazing.

What? The episode was utter shit. Remaining spoiler free did nothing to change that.
It wasn't amazing or utter shit, it was completely mediocre
The only part of that episode that was worth the wait was the ending.
I have two quick questions for you guys. What's Doctor Who's time slot and what's the name of the second episode of this season? I haven't followed this show in a while and just recorded the season's first episode. I'm in the process of watching all the older episodes on Netflix and want these recorded for when I'm done.
I'm tempted to rewatch the entire 2005 series again but I'm afraid the value of 'awesome' will start to wear off after I've seen an episode a billion times.
Ahh, despite the production quality compared to the recent series, I still love them :D

Same. All I saw was who was going to star in it and that it was a representation of Narnia. Someone online kept saying how utter shit it was. I was like, you drugged up bro?
Depends what you like, I thought it had that Christmas enchantment, even if I preferred last years.

where did you go
where did you go
Uni mostly.
But I got a bit sick of fan communities. For anything. I don't read any forum or blog or even comments on an article of anything. I've found people never have anything nice to say unless they're mindlessly defending something after somebody mindlessly slated something. Basically fan communities are mindless and 90% hate. I came to the realisation a fan community is just that, a community. In no way is it representative of actual people who watch the program. This community for example seems to like whatever isn't popular. For Matt Smiths first series we all bummed him. Then we bummed him for the second. Now over Christmas as he's become more popular with the public a lot of people are going off him suddenly. Same applies to writers and any element of the show. This thread is sadly heading in the same direction as Outpost Gallifrey but slightly more schizophrenic.
Plus hanging around threads for three months just builds hype that you'll never meet and thus stops me enjoying the show like I did before Series 4 Specials. Now I can watch the show without having to form an opinion, I can just relax and watch some telly and instead of thinking "That was good" or "I wish this happened" I think "That was TV, that was nice. Now let's do something else".
I've basically become middle aged.
I've basically become middle aged.
You should see a Doctor about that.
Nonetheless I think your concerns may be somewhat valid, even though personally I don't pay much attention to thread polit- OH FUCK that's a storm and a half outside (no really it is).
