I'm still a huge fan of Matt Smith, what are you talking about
I wasn't aware anyone was going off Matt Smith, I just didn't enjoy the episode. Christmas or not, it just didn't explain enough for me and there wasn't that sense of urgency like there was last Christmas where millions of lives were at stake. Despite my opinion of the episode, I still think Matt Smith shone as the Doctor in it and definitely had some of his best acting. [editline]3rd January 2012[/editline] I don't think anyone's going off him because he's become more popular. I thought he was always popular with the public. Smith is still an amazing Doctor and Moffat is still an amazing writer. I think what's happened is that people here have been waiting since Series 6 for another Doctor Who episode and were disappointed with what they got.
I didn't like it because there wasn't an actual enemy anywhere. I think that's why I didn't like the previous Christmas episode either.
I think I would have liked it much more if the dad stayed dead. Bringing him back was really cheap imo.

No wonder the forest was screaming. Good thing the Doctor decided to take the family to visit the forest. But was the cycle really broken? The corporation'll probably replant the trees and continue the genocidal harvest all over again. And the cycle could be continuing on many worlds other than that one. But hey, it's pretty much worth it if one world's worth of Androzani souls escaped the brutal genocide. Good thing the corporation never thought to harvest the souls as well, otherwise the Doctor would be absolutely mortified, even moreso than the thought of a living forest being dissolved into fuel. *deep thought*

Only just read about David Tennant and Georgia Moffet getting married on December 30th. Sounds like they had a great party at The Globe theatre London with Patrick Stewart and Stephen Fry on the guest list. Also presumably the fifth doctor was there, since he's Georgia's dad.
I'd love to be their child, getting the 10th Doctor as a dad and the 5th Doctor as a granddad.

It'd be kind of funny if the kid ends up not liking Doctor Who at all :v:
Did someone hear that? Murray Gold playing I am the Doctor!
yeah i just saw that on reddit at first i thought it was some random guy then oh my god its murray gold himself
And now genius YouTube pianists will transpose the music from that, since MG's word is law. Oddly enough, I prefer other Youtuber versions.

I expected him to look older...

I follow Gold on Twitter. He responds and is a genuinely funny and nice guy.

That's awesome. ...Please don't say you decided to go to that uni purely because there was a TARDIS near it :v:

Guys, guys, I was just in London and went to the Who Shop and Earls Court and everything!! Took like 50 photos of me and the phone box at Earls Court and fifty more at the Who shop. And pictures with the Dalek. If you've been to the shop you know how small it is but I think we (me and a friend) were in there for over an hour and half. Only spent about £30 so I'm really proud over myself for not wasting too much. Even though my parents looked at me as I was an idiot for spending £25 on a sonic screwdriver. "You are almost 19 and you spent over 250 kr (the amount in swedish currency) on a plastic toy that have a light and make sounds? Really?" And I'm not really sure why I'm writing this but I'm just so damn happy about it!

I bought the Tenth Doctor's Sonic, the Fourth Doctor's Sonic, and The Master's Laser Screwdriver. Just yesterday I completed my collection of these Classic series figures. Two of them were gifts. New episode? What the fuck we barely have Season 6 over here.
It's only Christmas, and it wasn't that good. Unless you're talking about something I haven't heard of yet.

This is the garage about 100m from my uni. They're awesome. The key for the toilets is a tardis and there's another lifesize one outside.
Neat. Also, where d'you go to uni? I assume it's up north, since there's been no snow down here.
Was it the one near savoy theater? If it was that one I visited there last summer!
Don't think so.. Isn't Savoy somewhere in near the Waterloo Bridge and Charing Cross, in the middle-ish? Earl's Court is more close to West Kensington. Kinda. Not sure, but then again I'm not from London.
Just finished listening to the Doctor Who audiobook "Dead Air". I'm infected D: These audiobooks are amazing. Although Matt isn't very good at switching between characters and voices.
