I wouldn't mine one like the 3rd or 7th; not too serous, a bit sciencey, but when shits going down, shits going down.
They were shit villains
They would have been good if they were not as poorly designed as they were and they did not have to fart every 10 seconds to entertain the kiddywinks!
Early Season 5 Matt Smith would be great to return to. You know, the angry one.
I'd like a more serious/angry Doctor after matt, a doctor that you can actually get excited about when he gets all pissed off.
Right now it's not so much excitement as it is "hehe, look at him being angry". I really can't keep a straight face when Matt acts angry.

not even on demon's run?
Nope.
[editline]19th January 2012[/editline]
Well a little. But it was still a bit silly because you're used to a happy doctor, not this angry one, so it gets silly and then I get silly and there's a lot of giggling involved.
i want the next doctor to be old, but when shit needs sorting he's not one to mess around with.
Has the new series started.. as I haven't kept track of anything.
I had a wierd dream about doctor who last night, combining what if universes and throwing them in a blender every which way.
Care to explain which what ifs featured, or did you forget the specifics like most dreams?
Care to explain which what ifs featured, or did you forget the specifics like most dreams?
Inception.
That is all.
I forget some of it, but it's a dream of coarse so it doesn't have to make sense. (and sorry for my grammar and spelling)
my dream started with an ending to a story that the 11th doctor had to see some person named lisbeth or lucy (doesn't matter because my dream didn't pull in that plot).
So it starts off after the said story with the 10th doctor being cased down corridors of pipes and wooden breams and noticing his hair is slightly more gelled and higher standing then in The Idiot's Lantern, he stops to breath looking to his left and as he pans his head straight in front his faces reveals streaks of grey hair and a blind white eye. As he exhales he says, "This isn't how it's supposed to happen" and cut to the into, (I think he said something more dramatic).
There isn't a title and I kinda skipped the intro and it starts with the normal 10th doctor inside a cottage type house doing what not without a companion with a few people inside puzzled to the doctor talking looking for stuff and explaining timy whimy. As soon as the doctor closes one door the 11th doctor pops out from one door avoiding his previous incarnation in a type of doors games looking for lucy while avoiding david tennant's doctor. Matt's doctor goes to one person gives them a pod capusle type device with a red lcd screen counting down and tell the man, "hold onto this and whatever you do don't tell that man I'm behind this very door", and shuts a door. The puzzled man looks at the door as the 10th scrambles about ever considing opening that very door.
I forget parts here but both doctors see eachother and explain their situation excluding matt's purpose there, again things get fuzzy then white light flashes and in a slightly different enviroment you have two 10th doctors standing and talking to eachother as nothing happend, as things progress, bamb you have the white eyed doctor chasing down with a gun (part steampunk part laser) the other more normal looking doctor. In my mind I think as clear as day that the white eyed doctor is the doctor from more of a future chasing down his younger self trying to stop him. The younger doctor gets inside his tardis which is tattered in shambles and from the outside has rusted type holes that pear inside.
The older doctor surrounds the tardis with his companion telling him it's over, the younger doctor with his different companion comes out to surrender and the older doctor explains he's not going to kill him. It then jumps around and around with different companions known and unkown all looking differently (except Amy). Somehow I kill Rory in a field of golen wheat.
Eventually the doctor's which always appeares to be two of eachother no more no less at different regenerations and apperances (10 with 10, 10 with 11, 11 with 11), noticed a connection that they are changing from one reality to another and that a countdown timer like that from the begining (but looking different like a huge device strapped to a back) is counting down to the next shift in reality will be.
Also the changes in realities will shift unpredicablty with sometimes the doctors not knowing there was a shift as they work togeather or fight against one another, always the corrupt doctor is the older one which corrupted in his own way having a link to being a prodecessor or in full form as the valeyard.
As the timer resets itself the time gets shorter and shorter and reality becomes more unstable. Also things keep being bizzar with segments like rose's mom being one companion while captain jack being the other's, being chased by cybermen with 4th doctor looking heads but in unit uniforms doing parkur over cars like in the g.i. joe move sent by unit, the master and daleks speaking in uniform and laughing seeing the background in space, (the 4th and 11th in cartoon form, I regret dreaming that cheesiness). You also have timelords not timelocked to the war causing mass chaos or exsist by reference as though they didn't have a war and died out.
Eventually the 11th doctor meets with someone he knows is extremely powerful to try to understand what is happening. Matt's doctor speaks to some sort of huge dark purple membrain with two mouths in zero gravity explaining what events have occured without the timelords, the black and white gardians, and even the enternals have no knowledge of. (the purple thing was shocked the timelords being unware, but whatever). the purple oracle gives a riddle of what known that has not changed.
Anyway I get hazy again with the jumps and eventually the doctor (normal matth smith by himself) figures out to stop reality from shifting before no more timey whimy. He then takes his screwdriver, points it to Amy as his companion who is standing behind a black shale wall in a park and tiggers a sonic vibration. Several people dressed in orange jumpers popout of amy and splatter against the wall reveraling to be gangars in the form like that on that walls in the episode of the rebel flesh. (would be cooler if they were all Amy's but that's my dream).
He shouts to the wall (I'm roughly keeping what I dreamed correct), "why did you control amy".
the wall replies, "we did not control, but were an illiusion, a shadow upon the wall"
"Amy, the mind which gave birth to a universe and within that universe to herself with all that knowlege of what was known"
"a paradox upon which is never changed her"
"throughout all realities never changed in a changing world"
"our masters made us to know what she would know, could know, fight against you doctor"
"you the man who could defeat the impossible, always incounter the impossible"
"things that you could defeat, but not others"
"other realities that showed your fatal foe"
"all tools to collect concour when you are not there"
"but we couldn't have triggered such a parodox to set up such events with you meeting yourself"
(I forget how I connected to this part)
"as the realities shifted and turned leading to the brink of oblivion, we knew you could fix it. You always do."
(I was so surpized to have dreamed that part because if you've studied research into dreams that the deeper you sleep the more and more convoluted your dreams become. But BAM, a logical fluid connection that pieced everything togeather near the end).
So the doctor visits a neather relm where a type of auction is taking place to split off which foe takes an incaration of an enemy that was copied from the reality shifts. This is where I wake up, but if you can guess the doctor wins like he always does. I pretty much dreamed up this out of the idea, "10th anniversary had omega, 25th was rassilon, what will be 50th?"
tl;dr Putting a bunch of what if stories and stories that you'de never have then put them into a blender and be able to come out close to cannon.
But honestly, gangars inside of Amy's mind copying realities to use against the doctor, was a pretty awesome dream overall.

........
Just realised a doctor's switching back and borth come from a big part in Dimentions in Time.
That was an amazing dream. You should fix up the grammar and spelling and send it off to Moffat.
It would be hard to write, not only having the reader follow through the utter maddess but also having some overall moral to the story that presents itself well. I wouldn't want it to be some 'what if' fanfic.
By the way I noticed a month or so ago that the cube in the doctor's wife were in the old series when the 2nd doctor called the timelords for the first time.
Incase you have missed it, Karen Gillan is in We'll take Manhattan this Thursday, and it is supposed to be Doctor Who vs Downton Abbey at the Natioanl TV Awards.
Remember Doctor Who VS Sherlock last year and neither won. Downton will get it and in my opinion, this year, deserves it. It's one of two programmes that do. The other being Sherlock.

Warwick Davis and Noel Fielding want to be in Doctor Who.
I'm so annoyed that all these great actors keep asking to be in Doctor Who, yet Moffat gets random 'guest stars'. One more person from Eastenders, I dare you Moffat.
I think John Cleese should reprise his role.
I think he should play a new one

One thing the Doctor Who isn't doing as well as the classic series is capturing modern music. It seems like a random grumble but the original series has The Beatles. I'd like to see Ringo and Paul pop up but I'd more like to see the big british musicians crop up. Noel Gallagher, Elton John, Robbie Williams, David Bowie, Liam Gallagher, Ozzy, Coldplay-
Hold on.
Liam Gallagher? My god. That'd be hilarious.
"Hello I'm the Doctor"
"I don't give a fuck"
"I need to-"
"Fuck off you daft cunt I'm John Lennon"
[editline]23rd January 2012[/editline]
Actually, a Doctor Who story tying into the Paul is Dead Mythos would be a smash.
It could turn out Paul died after being attacked by an alien warrior which looks like a Walrus. The main antagonist of the story, who has arrived to Assassinate the Beatles. Young John Lennon accidently ends up travelling with them and the TARDIS team and him really bond as The Doctor introduces John to peace and life on a universal scale. They finally stop the Walrus Assassin after chasing him through time only to discover the Walrus species are excellent mind manipulators. The Doctor takes John home and then takes Amy and Rory to outside a hotel, December 8 1980. We get a 'awww' scene where Amy and Rory realise The Walrus hypnotised Mark Chapman and they can't change history.
The Doctor later takes Lennon to an alien planet made of crystals were they meet Lucy, a clone specialist. To create a Paul. But it sometimes messes up and uses a right hand. Then a quick cameo where the Doctor checks up on Paul in 2011 and bam.
I think this would be a great way to pay respects to a historic band after a failed attempt so many decades ago. But I'm probably just an annoying fanboy so ignore me.
I can't take the idea of a walrus as an enemy seriously.

Destroyer of worlds.
He must have got some stick for that name.
I'd rather keep with Matt. I dunno why but I wish the beach scene WAS his regeneration. Loved his emotion with it, just would have worked for me.
Also, remember when I made this a year and a half ago? :v:

Should I do one for Amy?
I'm curious if Moffat will do a story with sir Arthur Conan Doyle?
I'm curious if Moffat will do a story with sir Arthur Conan Doyle?
It'd be pretty cool. Could do something about ACD's belief in fairies and all that.

He means the actual guy being a character in it.. Like Agatha Christie and Shakespeare.
He means the actual guy being a character in it.. Like Agatha Christie and Shakespeare.
Oh, i revise my dumb rating then...
This is a Doctor who Thread, I thought it was obvious that I meant Moffat writting a doctor who script not his Sherlock series. Though Fairies wern't the first thing that came to mind, rather the time when he planted a fake fossile, (though the real story about the Piltdown man of who and why they faked it is rather interesting), the farries would be interesting though they were explored in Torchwood.

I think he's too much of a fit for doctor who after watching this just now, but still worth a try.
Got Sony Vegas yesterday, so the only logical thing to do would be for me to convert the study in my house into a makeshift studio and make a video of me covering a Chameleon Circuit song. I'll report back with a video if it all goes to plan... If it doesn't, then, well, I won't post a video. Because there won't be one. Um. Yeah.
Be right back, learning a song. And also learning how to use Sony Vegas :v:
Karen Gillan won an award for her portrayal of Amy at the National Television Awards in London this evening.
[editline]25th January 2012[/editline]
Matt Smith also won best male drama performance
