Hahaa, no it's fine. And a compilation of the regulars as art, huh? I've been considering doing something like this for this thread for a while. There can't be more than about 11 core regulars... I could dress us all up as the Doctors... drawn, ofc.
Yeah, and then give the TARDIS a rainbow fart.
Just watched "The Five Doctors". I must say I have mixed feelings about it. Judging by this one episode, the old series were a lot slower paced. It was really nice to get an idea of what the 2nd and 3rd doctors were like, though. Those were the ones I knew the worse.
I had a clever idea today. Around the world in 80 days starring Benedict Cumberbatch as Phileas Fogg and Matt Smith as Jean Passerpartout.
I just stumbled across something rather quirkily interesting on the TARDIS wikia. Apparently Susan Foreman's actual name was "Arkytior" which means "Rose" in High Gallifreyan. Pretty cool.

Guess who just found Waldo.
If there's anything from DW clothes wise that I would like it would be one of 10's suits and the trenchcoat. That trenchcoat is boss.

if RTD had that much depth I would be very surprised

I've always liked the idea of another serial-based Doctor Who, it certainly gave people more to watch... Plus, think how deep the writers can make a story in 45 minutes.... Now imagine that doubled or tripled... Every episode would have at least 3 parts, and there would be 13 full episodes in a series... Would be a hell of a lot of work, but just try to imagine it for a second.

I love that episode a lot.

Oh, I know, I wasn't saying they were linked. Just pretty interesting.
Actually that kind of stupid depth is exactly what RTD would do. Silly fan wank was his thing.
And I liked RTD
RTD .. I-It's not like I l-like you or anything ...
RTD character interaction and comedy was great, RTD depth was pretty terrible but
Just started watching Dr Who from Season 5 (2005), and i love it!
[QUOTE=Gmod guy;30604980]Just started watching Dr Who from Season 5 (2005), and i love it![/QUOTE]
It will get better and better, trust me there

Season 5... or 2005? 2005 is Series 1, Series 5 is 2010...
Excellent choice either way, and if from series 1, keep at it, as the series go on, they all get better and better

Im sure he was just confused because of the constant "series 5" posts in the thread.

It gets better, then it's not as good, then it's REALLY FUCKING BAD, then it's OH GOD WHY WERE THESE SPECIALS MADE then it's even better than 1 and 2 from then on
It's a shame. I really liked Donna as a companion, there wasn't any of this 'omg doctor i luv u' stuff like with Rose and Martha, they were just great friends

Doctor who has never been 'REALLY FUCKING BAD', it been below average but never truly terrible.
I'd say that series 4 was probably the best of the pre-Smith/pre-Moffat era, and I would argue that even some episodes that are considered bad, are only considered bad because of bandwagon mentalities/overreading it the wrong way.
I rewatched the Unicorn and the Wasp the other week. Yeah, I know, it's pretty maligned on here. It was actually a very enjoyable watch. It wasn't taken seriously - the audience was never asked to take it seriously. It was a comedy episode, and cleverly written and fun to watch. Fun to watch. That's what it's always really about, and I can say that, though ofc the writing has ups and downs, I've never had an episode of Who that I've been unable to watch and not enjoyed.

Torchwood press release. RTD pretty much confirms Torchwood will air in the US before it airs here. Bloody traitor. I'm not bothered that it's being co-made with Starz or whatever, but it needs to remember its roots here. No point swinging across the pond to attract a new audience, only to alienate its existing audience.

Whenever I see your posts I just assume you're upset because somebody threw a brick at you or something. I'm not being funny, I just associate peoples avatars with them.

You don't really get it with Amy either.
What I dislike about Amy is people deffend her fliritng with the Doctor as typical party-teenager stuff. And they're right.
Teenagers are like that when they're REALLY drunk and not friends with person involved. So in reality Amy just comes off as a slag.

Still love her character.

I couldn't care really. If he said "UK won't get it at all" I'd be upset. But other than fans, nobody will notice.

Series 3 and Series 4 are fantastic. And I like the specials. They're fun. I can't dislike Doctor Who, it's like nothing else on TV.
[editline]21st June 2011[/editline]
I'm going to start a satirical review show of Doctor Who after my exams. It will be a style blend of Charlie Brooker and Nostalgia Critic yet at the same time I'm not going to jump on Bandwagon opinions.
I've already worked out some jokes for 'Rose' and noticed a ton of silly things that can be fun to exploit and take out of context.
[editline]21st June 2011[/editline]
I might start with classic episodes though. More comedy value.
I am listening to the S5 soundtracks over and over.
Especially "I Remember You".
[editline]21st June 2011[/editline]
Currently listening to "Onwards!" while I wait for the last 4 people to subscribe to me on YouTube so that I can finally reach 1,000.
Favourites from the soundtrack are probably
Sad Man in a Box
Words Win Wars
I Remember You
River of Tears
and then every track with 'Amy' in the title
I know no one asked, but oh well.
