She has both hands on her hips. Unless she has a third arm, then your theory is correct!
For anyone in Canada, Space is doing a Torchwood marathon, the episode with the fairies just finished
Apparently the marathon started at some point 20 minutes into an hour, since every episode is ending and starting at the 20 minute mark.
Going back the the CITV thing, Sooty and Sweep are fucking badass...
...my childhood comes flooding back every time i see them.
Okay so Children of Earth in Blu-ray arrived this morning, going to watch then send back, wait a week for my £20 amazon voucher :smug:
Yay, a day of soda, snacks, Doctor Who and crippling stomach aches and diarrhea.
Matt Smith has been cast in a new BBC film – written by William Ivory – about the 1948 London Olympics.
He will play Bert Bushnell in the 90 minute drama, which will tell the true-life story of how the rower and his partner, Dickie Burnell, overcame class differences to win the event for Britain.
Matt will film ‘Bert And Dickie’ this summer, before filming this year’s Doctor Who Christmas Special in the autumn.

This could work.
Came across something rather worrying in this month's DWM. An article began with "given that we now know that he is the last incarnation of the time lord" :ohdear: I can't imagine that this really would be it, I'm banking on just a bit of stupid wording.

After reading that, this day can only go down hill. That was great.

Hey look it's the Fifth Doctor and Martha in Law and Order UK. He even plays her boss. I might watch this series.
I can't help but think the only reason Peter is popping up so much in TV these days is because of his appearance in Nu-Who. It revived his career. Because he wasn't a hugely popular Doctor like Baker or Pertwee.
Watching Flesh and Stone again, this is still funny:
River: "I absolutely trust him."
Bishop: "He's not some kind of mad man then?"
River: "I absolutely trust him."
Watching some of the "older" episodes where The Doctor still doesn't know River is ... Kind of... Weird.

Also, I found out some info about River Song. Initially, Kate Winslet was interested in the part, but when she was told that she would reappear in later episodes, she decided not to do it because of other ating commitments!
Then, Russell gave it to Alex Kingston !

I'LL NEVER LET GO DOCTOR
Kate Winslet > Alex Kingston imho.
If I woke up after a drunk night next to some girl. I would love it to be Kate Winslet.
However, River Song is so Alex

As much as I would have liked to have seen KW, Alex just suits what River should be.
Kate Winslet looks too young to be River.
Alex Kingston suits the role better because she looks quite a bit older than Rory and Amy.
I vote KW for young version of River.
As much as I would have liked to have seen KW, Alex just suits what River should be.
I think the only reason why we say this is because we don't know any different, we know AK as River Song, no one else...
...it is your human mind!

That's true, we'd be saying the same if anyone else was in the role (that's suitable of course).
I've just been thinking, it's probably best not to publicise this thread as a place for Torchwood too. This is a mostly Brit thread, and if we get an influx of new Torchwood viewers, they'd probably be from America, and so would have seen Torchwood AGES before us - it airs on the 8th for them and the 14th for us, leaving us with only 1 day a week or so we could view this thread without spoiling it for ourselves.
Also, I just learned something interesting from DWM, and that's that Britain will be and already has been watching a toned down version of Torchwood in comparison to America. In Children of Earth, the child's death-scene was a lot less violent than the American aired version, and in this new series, the American one will be more violent/sexual that the British version, though the British one WILL have a longer airtime to fill its slot, so will have extra footage.
/random info dump
Well now, I can't be the only one a little bit pissed at the fact we're being fed a "watered down" version of what is essentially a british TV show compared to the version that US viewers are being shown.

I feel like I want to watch the American version, but bad things will happen if I say how I will do it :frown:
Where's my frown emoticon gone? :colbert:
And that one..
