Poor Ecclestone :(
Nevertheless, I think it is a little sad that he won't even consider a new return now its under "new management"...
This!
Speaking of cheap tickets... if I am to do this I need to book my flight before prices get unbearable (damned ryanair raises them by the hour, literally) so how many confirmations do we have?
I also forgot to add an age field when designing the form, so I added one after the fact and added the ages I could remember of people.
Tennant on any sort of return:
Ever since David Tennant left Doctor Who, there’s been rumours of his return. Now the man himself has set the record straight.
Basically, he hasn’t ruled out a return to the show, but is enthusiastic about the idea.
“Not impossible forever, but no plans at the moment,” Tennant told Total Film. “People keep telling me that they’ve read online that I’m coming back – but believe me, if that happens I’ll be the first to tell everyone, I’ll be shouting about it very loudly,”
“I’m very proud of the show and I’m fully aware it casts a long shadow professionally, but I’m quite happy about that. It’s a shadow wearing a very cool, long coat!”
With the 50th anniversary in 2013, it would be very surprising if Tennant didn’t turn up for a potential Doctor reunion.
And the tiniest teaser of the next Christmas special:
Moffat: I think I spent the entire budget on the first page. A baptism of fire for Caroline Skinner. Literally fire. And aliens!
Thanks. Safe to say we'll have 8 or 9 people then?
Also, I'm 19 :)
Torchwood is still managing to do the wonderful thing of having lots of stuff and nothing happening in each episode.
But it's good. Enough.

I was just thinking that. If someone asked me what happened in that episode, all I'd be able to say is "They were on a plane. Jack was poisoned. They sorted it. They ran." In DW, this would have happened in the space of a minute.

Also, new news on the next DW Adventure Game:
The next Doctor Who Adventure Game has been announced on the official website. It will be released in October and it is called The Gunpowder Plot.
Here are the main details:
You can play as the Doctor, Amy and Rory!
The story gives you the chance to battle aliens in London, 1605.
Two old enemies return…
Chat to famous figures including Guy Fawkes (pictured)
Participate in one of the most notorious plots the world has ever known
It’s written by Phil Ford (Doctor Who: The Adventure Games, The Sarah Jane Adventures and co-writer of The Waters of Mars) and produced by Gary Russell
It will be the most advanced of the Adventure Games so far. Gamers will be able to exploring the immersive environments of this historic period
The adventure will feature multi-linear gameplay, even more sophisticated puzzles, and a complex lighting system specifically designed to recreate the atmosphere of 17th Century London
“Portal technology” will enable gamers to experience for themselves that the TARDIS really is bigger on the inside…
It will be free in the UK
I hope the portal tech idea works well... I seriously don't see why some big games company doesn't take over and make a fucking awesome sandbox game with full reign in the universe as well as the tardis, etc. It seems silly.

I'm pretty sure someone is making a Doctor Who MMO, but it wouldn't work like that sadly.
You may have already read this but

So Eccleston has come out to say something about not seeing eye to eye with staff, one of reasons why he quit. Hopefully he can be convinced to come back now we have new staff.. the article is somewhere on doctorwhonews.co.uk. Jess will post it :v:
I think that article was already posted
It was. A page ago or so.
Doctor Who had huge budget problems in RTD time. But the producers knew how to deal with it. The last producers simply couldn't handle it and Moffat has made too many demands. What's happened is the show has collapsed under its own weight and the producers have all rage quit instead of trying to fix it all.
[editline]22nd July 2011[/editline]
With the 50th coming up the entire show is becoming impossible to manage and things are ending up delayed and messed up by generally inexperienced producers. Till it all hits meltdown and we end up with the really confusing scheduling next year.
The BBCs attitude is slowly shifting into how they approached it in the 80's.

Should The Master have stayed dead at the end of Series 3?

No but he ought to have been re-introduced better.

I would say yes, but since the writers of Doctor Who tend to kick every single dead horse they can find to make a plot that reflects the old Who, I don't think it really matters, I mean, how many times have we seen Daleks in Doctor Who, and how much more are we going to see of them? same with the master, the Cybermen and every other reoccurring enemy.

I hate that song.
HERE COMES THE DRUMS HERE COMES THE DRUMS
I was actually referring to The End of Time, but yeah that part was annoying as well.
Y'know, that last Torchwood was pretty cool, but i'm still thinking about the whole arsenic-poisoning scene. I don't know anything about chemistry or alchemy, but I dunno if it woulda really taken so short a time to make that antidote and that it would act so fast.
Anyone here a chemistry buff who can verify or debuff that stuff?
Also, awesome to hear we've got the next adventure game, and that it's even better than the previous ones. Bright future ahead from what I can see.

Think of them like investors. They're the ones that pour money into the project and they manage how much money each aspect of production sucks up.
So basically they're the bankers and budget managers. Sounds about right, though they also sound similar to what publishers do in the gaming industry.
Aren't the publishers responsible for the factories mass-producing the games aswell?
Also, did you guys hear about what happened in Oslo? (You most certainly did)

It's terrible and everything, but there's a thread dedicated for it. You're only going to get yourself banned if you talk about it in here.
