My bet is on the Rani.
Old friend and Old Foe is likely to refer to [sp]Craig Owens and the Cybermen[/sp], considering the order is in episode order.
My bet is on the Rani.
There's a hint from the Brilliant Book of Doctor Who that's "How could a fellow Gallifreyan stoop so low?" too, so perhaps. Plus, we have no idea who the mysterious Kovarian is. Perhaps she is the Rani. I don't think this is the case though, I doubt that they'll be dragging back any more old faces - if Moffat's aware of the cliches enough to retire the Daleks for a bit, he'll be just as aware of avoiding stuff like this
Doctor Who returns on the 27th on America. The BBC released the scheduling for the 27th for the UK. Doctor Who is not on it. It's possible America is getting it a week early. Maybe more.

The trailers still say "Soon" and Sherlock got pushed back into next May despite being due August. Let's hope.

That doesn't sound good OR fair. But so long as it comes, it'll come.
So guys, we're approaching the 24th. Any ideas for what to do in Cardiff and how we should meet up? Also, I'm sorry, did you just say America is getting Dr. Who earlier than the UK? Are they fucking bonkers?!

WHAT.

If I have to obtain Doctor Who by questionable means like I do Torchwood I will be very pissed off. I know this series has been very "America Friendly", trying to push to get it popular in America, but if they show it in America first I will be VERY pissed off.
I don't think you can really expect an earlier American release. They won't do any more than same-day, they just won't
They'd better fucking not release it in America before Britain. I mean, that's just taking the piss. I'm all for it being shown in the US a few days or a week after, the sooner they get to watch it the better, but definitely not before us. That'd just be totally unfair. And ridiculous.
Guys, calm down. I don't know where you're getting this information from but we're definitely getting it the 27th. I think even DWM has that date confirmed, plus the fact its next issue is already reporting on "Let's Kill Hitler". Given that it's released at the start of the month, they wouldn't be publishing articles and reviews about it if it hadn't already been aired, would it? The only reason Torchwood is being aired in America before the UK is because its production is shared with America and America has the bigger pressure to draw in a new audience. Doctor Who is a flagship British show. If it were personified, if you cut it, it would bleed Earl grey tea or something. They wouldn't air it in America first. [editline]12th August 2011[/editline] Ahhh, shit, just realised I can't make the 24th, I have work. I guess there's no chance of a date-change now, no?
CHANGE THE DATE [editline]12th August 2011[/editline] NOI
change the date! i'm not going if jess and dower aren't!
Wow... I appear to be wielding power here... :v:
change the date! i'm not going if jess and dower aren't!
<3 [editline]12th August 2011[/editline] OH AND YOU TOO JESS!!
just checked and i can't do the 24th anyway!
OH lord. It appears there will be a single Dr. Who fan from FP on Cardiff on the 24th. And he'll be Portuguese.
Well, it appears now i won't be going to Europe, but i still can't come, i have numerous birthday party's to go to from 25 to the 30th. Apparently, August was a good month for births (especially mine ^_^)
wow even though the america getting the episode earlier thing is in my favour, I still think it's dumb a British TV show is making America it's priority
I hope it comes in the UK first. I might be in the US, but if it does that, I have it a feeling its going to get worse or something.
I hope it comes in the UK first. I might be in the US, but if it does that, I have it a feeling its going to get worse or something.
soon the actors will develop permanent american accents and then only film in america and they blow up cardiff
soon the actors will develop permanent american accents and then only film in america and they blow up cardiff
Matt Smith does do a pretty good American accent

The only reason the BBC get Torchwood later is because it's a Starz produced show. Doctor Who is not.
Um... does that mean only 1 person is going to Cardiff?
thought you guys would like this!
Doctor Who and Pokemon? That'd be a damn weird crossover. (the Doctor using a Pikachu to shock his enemies would be kinda violent, but he'd probably only use it like one would use a smoke bomb or a flashbang, stunning enemies so he could get away) Also, if they ARE gonna air it first in America, then I implore American FPers not to report on it until it airs in the UK, prevent the main audience from receiving Thankfully I didn't use an image macro, despite how easy it woulda been. Kinda hard to find the clean "[sp]spoilers[/sp]" face, though.
Um... does that mean only 1 person is going to Cardiff?
How funny is it that it's the one person who had to get plane tickets? Oh and for the love of god, do not [sp]spoil[/sp] the series 6 part 2 episodes.
