After you mount it behind the cuts or stock?
Also, where'd you go?
I've been having connection problems with facepunch for awhile. Also work (bestbuy), school, and skating have been taking up my time. Seems that the only time I get to skate are at 6:30am till 7:30am when I have work so I try to maximize my time with homework so no forum stuff for me. Also with the nine two five most people who break the drop throughs mount it like right where the drop cut starts like where they broke it, so than its just a plank of wood.

I was thinking about trying to get sponsored by bum. I really need to put out a video sometime soon. Liked the picture anyway.
Oh god...
I could never do that to such an expensive board. Maybe a Krown or Stella, but not a Landy.
eh, i can always get more money, at least this gives me something to work on over the summer holidays.
The standing platform is really small, its going to take some getting used to.

does anyone know where I can get my hands on a Predator Dh-6 Helmet? Out of stock everywhere I swear !
It's a total gay fad out here

I started skateboarding, but decided that I don't like vibrating and wobbling around town.

They are completely different boardsports. I'd like to see a pro skateboarder do some downhill like this.

3:30 is the good stuff.
Also a pretty good amount of longboarders can do street and vert.
On a different note, freerode my downhill top mount today and I can totally see why people love top mounts for freeride. It was insanely fun.

have some 78mm s9 round lipped 82a freeride raceforms on it right now. Slidey goodness.
Got a landyachtz switch. Pretty fucking stoked. So fun to ride.

How do you like the angles on it? I'd imagine it being pretty unstable at higher speeds. If this is the landy board I'm thinking of.

Good for freeride and DH !

Righteous! Its like the ultimate mix of slide and grip! I'm really digging s9s race formula. I'd like to try flashbacks from abec 11 since I feel like it'd be exactly the same.
Today I learned to do standies.
On carpet.
With sharp lipped wheels.
EDIT: To clarify; I know how to do standies already, but today I learned to do something pretty similar on carpet with my friend's board.
Holding out toeside standies is going to be the death of me. Had them pretty well like 3 days ago. Went to baltimore and didn't skate so I lost all the muscle memory and now its like starting from square one.
[editline]22nd December 2011[/editline]
180s are p easy but something about holding toeside out is just crazy
I can't hold them worth shit, but there's almost no reason to anyway.

That's me skating a local hill. I'm 15 and this is my first edit, what you guys think ?
I can't hold them worth shit, but there's almost no reason to anyway.
Reason to is because they're fun as shit to hold out. Plus if you get good at them you can win competitions. I like to compete haha.

Not bad stuff man. Your opening filming style was good but what your lacking is variety. I feel like once you learn more stuff and find more hills you can get some good shots and get a good video together. You already have a lot of the slides down, now its just going faster and getting more gnar. Other than that keep at it man! You have a lot of potential, your toeside checks are super clean compared to mine haha I just launch that bitch out while yours have a lot more grace.
Could you guys recommend any good trucks for around 80 bucks? I ride a 35/7.5 board by the way/ Help would be VERY appreciated

If topmounted, Calibers are supposed to be VERY nice. If dropped, Paris are my favorite so far.
Also, getting me some Metro Motions today, I'll report to you later today.

Here's that pic I promised. I would have liked Grey or Blue, but red's good too, I'm not real picky.
My setup, since I never actually posted it since I got my new deck:
BC Eel with custom graphic
Paris Adam Colton trucks
Abec 11 Biltin bearings
Metro Motion 80a Radtastic Red
Merry Christmas, fellow skaters

Caliber and Gunmetal are the latest and greatest in cast trucks right now. If you want precision than for another $19 you can get some Surf-Rodz Indeesz.

Happy Holidays you guys. Hope you all got some rad gear. I know I did! New Helmet

My all time favorite downhill video.
So I just got back from skating on my new wheels.
My god Metro Motion is the best thing since sex. They are super slidey, buttery, and hook up effortlessly, but can grip whenever you want them to. They don't leave thane lines though, but I don't mind, seeing that these are pretty much the best things that have ever come into my life.
I got these for christmas...

Any tips for sliding? i can already break with them, i tried to turn slide (?) but the board just span off.
First tip: Go faster
Second tip: Don't drag your fingers on the ground
Third tip: Don't get scared

Learn to 180 hands down slide first. You can do it toeside or heelside, most people get the hang of toeside first than move to heelside. Once you can do a full 180 since they are pretty easy to do, you can start going faster and faster and trying to hold out both slides while maintaining control of yourself. Control is key so its a lot of repetitious practice, trust me its worth it because when you can bust clean predrifts and dive into turns its a feeling like no other. To bad I'm only clean on heelside, still working on toeside predrifts and having them to a science, can't decide if I want to put a hand on rail or just go no hands. I can do both but it gets sketchy at certain speeds.
Lol, I can do toesides clean but can't do heelsides very well at all. Also, I can't boneless, what is wrong with me?
EDIT: It's the doing it while moving part, I just can't get it :c
a friend of mine came over and he brought his longboard. went around my neighborhood with it, was really fun. something i wish i had so i could listen to music and just cruise around when im bored.
I'm looking into buying my first longboard and I'm just wondering if there is anything I should know.
Most of what I know is advice from my friend who told me a 40' board with 70mm 75a wheels would be great for a beginner like me. (Cruising and hill bombing once I get the hang of it.) Anything else I should know before I make a purchase? I'll be spending around 200 CAN and plan on asking the people working at the skate shop for any advice as well.
so i got a longboard for christmas
its so fucking fun
Longboarding + Weed = perfect combo
