And I'm trying to do the same thing but just get some CNC'd caliber dupes, my dads buddy from the marines is a machinist so he said he would make me truck parts with all the scrap he has.

I'm going to go use this Pred on that run I posted before. Hopefully get into some more DH now.
did a 180 heel side standup then in switch a 180 toe side standup, attempted a layout and scrapped my whole right side, god damnit.
kingpins arrived today, getting some JB weld tomorrow and i'm going to try to have my trucks re-outfitted for my day off on friday
http://www.facebook.com/events/346285195382775/ DC Grom race for anyone in the area who wants to have a good time. Plus you can meet me haha
I was thinking about getting into longboarding, I need a sport hobby and this seems like a lot of fun. I never really liked skateboarding and enjoyed biking more because I enjoyed going fast rather than doing cool tricks. Any tips on buying a beginner board? I saw a Fibreflex board for 100 dollars used, is that worth it?
depends what you want to do freeride, downhill, or dance..(NO FUCKING CRUISING), im into free ride and dance, i got the dervish, good enough for me
depends what you want to do freeride, downhill, or dance..(NO FUCKING CRUISING), im into free ride and dance, i got the dervish, good enough for me
What's wrong with cruising? Dancing is a kind of cruising, just sayin'.

Haha http://www.silverfishlongboarding.com/forum/classifieds/showcat.php?cat=15 this is a wonderful place to buy decks and trucks. I'd buy my cast trucks new though since they bend easier than precision, and wheels well who wouldn't want those new? If anything look around for a good deal on a deck. Also my gen 4's came in the mail from the silverfish buy & sell. These trucks are fucking awesome, I can take tight lines that I used to scrub on with no scrubbing. [editline]10th January 2012[/editline]
What exactly is cruising and freeride?
Cruising would just be like riding around doing nothing but pushing along. This is freeride and what everyone eventually wants to do: So don't buy a pintail or a dancer just get a nice all around deck because every person I meet just wants a pintail to cruise than a month of skating with me they want to get a much more jack of all trades deck. [editline]10th January 2012[/editline] this is also a good freeride video: [editline]10th January 2012[/editline] really any of the videos on skatehouse are awesome http://www.skatehousemedia.com/home [editline]10th January 2012[/editline] My first real deck was a switchblade and I absolutely fell in love with sliding and going fast because of it so I'd reccomend maybe checking this sale out. http://www.silverfishlongboarding.com/forum/classifieds/showproduct.php?product=5134&title=wtt-2fwts-ly-switchlade&cat=15 [editline]10th January 2012[/editline] Also since your from canada I'd suggest purchasing from http://www.switchbacklongboards.com/store/ [editline]10th January 2012[/editline] Also get a helmet and get some slide gloves, darkspeed is a great canadian brand.
I was thinking of something like cruising but after those vids I changed my mind. How can I tell if it's a stiff board? And what's a good length for freeskate? [editline]10th January 2012[/editline] A guy on that site is selling a ninjati board for 50 bucks, here's a link: http://www.silverfishlongboarding.com/forum/classifieds/showproduct.php?product=5131&title=ninjati-nersh-and-other-stuff&cat=15

If you want to know if its stiff just ask in this thread or email the company. The ninjati is a really good deck for downhill and I've seen people rip it on that deck freeride style. You may not dig the W in the back though, its pretty viscious. But that is a damn good deal so you might wanna jump on it. [editline]10th January 2012[/editline] This is the back end of the board This is the front [editline]10th January 2012[/editline] Now I freeride and downhill a deck kind of similar to this so I can say that the W makes it pretty fun for toeside stuff but can be a little hard to get used to at first. For 50 bones why not though? You'd be looking at around $160-170 if you got that deck. Trucks are around $40-50 and wheels are around the same price. Factor in some bushings, hardware, and bearings and spacers and your ready to bomb.
finally outfitted my indy 215's with venom barrels and cones, both 85a. sooooo carvy and responsive, but i'm digging it so far. it's like i'm going to have to relearn how to ride this thing.

Would they ship to Australia because I want that deck like crazy (and the Wolfshark 2012 ). If you don't buy it, I will haha! Anyone here from Victoria?
I'm probably gonna get it if he still has it, but the signup is taking forever to send me an email. Also it's some guy selling it, so you gotta ask him.

my friend is thinking of selling me his longboard for a 100 bucks supposedly it has a chip in the front end but I'd rather have that than pay 200 extra dollars for a board
nothing wrong with going second-hand!
my friend is thinking of selling me his longboard for a 100 bucks supposedly it has a chip in the front end but I'd rather have that than pay 200 extra dollars for a board
Chips mean nothing. Even if it had a little structural damage nothing some epoxy can can't fix!
my friend is thinking of selling me his longboard for a 100 bucks supposedly it has a chip in the front end but I'd rather have that than pay 200 extra dollars for a board
my board was found in a bush 7 years ago, still works fine.
My bearings seemed to have seized, they won't spin at all. Any tips?
I can't sign up for silver fish longboarding, any other second hand decks places?
My bearings seemed to have seized, they won't spin at all. Any tips?
Either buy a new set or clean them, you should be able to find a guide to cleaning them online easily.
I can't sign up for silver fish longboarding, any other second hand decks places?
my activation email hasn't been sent within 2 days of registering
In Australia, second hand boards still go for 120+. So a second hand deck for $50 + $50 or so for shipping is still cheaper than getting it over here.
Lol, Australia shipping.
Rayne Hellcat 2011 good for 95 with shipping?
Rayne Hellcat 2011 good for 95 with shipping?
Basically, anything Rayne makes doubles as a testosterone boost, chick magnet, lead weight and war club.
Those are all good things right?
