ok about to order my board finally, even though I wont be able to ride it for a while. if I get the supermodel should I get indy 215s or calibers?
and do I need risers?
oh god I just came from that evo
and do I need risers?
calibers, and I'd pickup some 1/8th risers and 1/4th risers just incase you need a set. Its always nice to have risers, trust me. Plus their cheap. [editline]22nd January 2012[/editline] just gives you the option to run big as fuck wheels if you want.
^fuck nah bro don't get calibers with the supermodel. brian at earthwing has said that the board was designed with specifically Indy 215's in mind. smack some Indys on that and get shock pads, i don't have any risers on mine and i've never ever ever had to worry about wheel bite with 70mm wheels. that's all you really need. you want that shit low.

I read bellyracer in my head haha I didn't eat today so I'm a little out of it. yeah get fucking indy 215s but get the hybrids from mile high so you can use venom bushings.
What do you guys think about the wolf shark? I'd def pick one up if i saw it for under 70 like new.
can't wait till it starts getting 50-60 degrees outside. gonna be out every day. too bad i have to wait 2 months.
Can anyone recommend good trucks, wheels, and bearings for downhill/freeride/cruising? Once I get my Evo back, I want to upgrade it a little. I definitely need to replace the bearings and trucks as they've been ridden through snow and rain many times and the Seismic trucks were starting to vibrate themselves apart. [editline]22nd January 2012[/editline] Preferably in Light Blue/Black.

Abec 11 Flashbacks 81a are like god like for all around skating, bearings just get some milehighskates bearings.

All I know is that my Seismic trucks were great and I loved being able to tune the bump/rebound stiffness of the springs. Also I don't know a damn thing about the effects different bushings have. The only things I've ever changed on my board was wheels/trucks/risers.
Front truck has a 50 degree baseplate, rear has a 35 degree baseplate. His front right wheel is 83a, front left 80a, rear right 86a and rear left 83a. No idea why he did that with his wheels. EDIT: Derp no it's bushing duros wow.
Oh my god. I wouldn't trust myself enough to drill the board for drop-though's.

Those wheels have a insane top speed, if you throw in a mischo erban good tuck. Its a formula for spine chilling speeds.
Better than I can ollie :v:
I can't ollie worth a damn, on a skate deck or longboard. I've currently got 3 longboards- an old Neversummer Heist that I use as a supercruiser, a Bustin Robot (41") for freeride and a Bustin Maestro (32") for city shredding/commuting. The Maestro's the lightest and has kicks, but I can't ollie it at all. My friends are supposed to be buying me another deck for my birthday (which was 9 days ago, and they forgot to order it :v:), and it has dedicated kicks and isn't a dropdeck, so hopefully it'll be a better ride to do some curb hopping on. That's the real reason I wanted the Maestro in the first place, so I could mount and dismount sidewalks without getting off the deck.
My goal is to be able to ollie 2 feet, and I won't stop til I get there. One thing I'm not good at at ALL, and I tried, are early grabs. Ugh, I get like 4-5 inches of air at most when I do those
hey takkun could i theoretically flip my indy 215's on my supermodel? how would it effect the ride?
hey takkun could i theoretically flip my indy 215's on my supermodel? how would it effect the ride?
how is that even possible? flipping ckp trucks? what?
New landys line up, new trucks and new wheels including Kyle Martin signatures. http://imgur.com/a/Sxqmi
the new wolf shark is like a microdrop topmount. Its odd to look at.
I think I'm going to get one. Well the Kyle Martin wheels sound good anyway.
I didn't order it after because switchback is out of flashbacks, is there much difference between flashbacks and zigzags? I was thinking 83a.
I think I like the older wolfshark better but I'll just have to wait and see.
I didn't order it after because switchback is out of flashbacks, is there much difference between flashbacks and zigzags? Everything else like 84a and 75a will be to hard or soft and all the other duros are reflex thane which is like grippy as fuck. Zigs are a great choice too, my friend rides those in 81a and has a great slide to it.
how is that even possible? flipping ckp trucks? what?
i mean screw them in so the baseplates are faced the opposite way
i mean screw them in so the baseplates are faced the opposite way
OHHH. Yeah don't do that, it'll be backwards and you won't be able to ride properly, CKP trucks have different geometries so this won't work at all. [editline]23rd January 2012[/editline] if you really want to try rkp you can probably find some cheap used on the fish.
Are these bearings any good? They're ABEC7's. A set of 8 for 36.00USD. I haven't found any ABEC11's at MHS or Landyachtz.
uhm
uhm
Will consider it.
I'm quite sure the highest is ABEC 9s, because ABEC 11 is the name of a company and I thought it was like meant to say that they are above the best.
