2 friends and i played a game where you pass a ball while going down hill, in light of good weather. super fun.
TIMEBOMB. I've been trying to get my friends to do this.
i tried a longboard once and fell flat on my face somehow
TIMEBOMB. I've been trying to get my friends to do this.
This is why we desperately need some bigger slopes on empty roads in NYC. I'd love to do this type of stuff. All I can do is cruise around and attempt to slide every now and then because the city truly is not fair to downhill. What I really want to do, is finally get to ollieng my Maestro. That way, I could finally curb hop on the way home from school without having to dismount.
TIMEBOMB. I've been trying to get my friends to do this.
why anyone wouldn't want to do this is beyond me. while walking to our usual spot i found a half inflated children's basketball lying on the road. imagine something like this but with flames and no tiger:
What he said. For those who weren't at the Agenda Trade Show or haven't been by the shop lately, there are a lot of things cooking for 2012. JET Skateboards showed 46 completes across the five series - Hellfire, Radar, Air Core, Invasion, and Skatera. The focus of each series of decks is as follows: 1. Hellfire Series- 11 short boards ranging from 31" to 38". Tech sliding, pools, parks, pipes, street, hybrid DH and freeride decks with kicks and classic trucks for pop and grind. 2. Radar Series - 15 extended, updated, and upgraded maple DH and freeride decks with deeper concave options and killer new graphics. 3. Air Core Series - 2 downhill decks that use our high tech construction techniques to reduce weight, increase strength, and decrease torsional twisting. 4. Invasion Series - 12 shapes make up this broad collection of funky, cool and exciting minis, carvers, cruisers, slalom, DH, and freeride decks. 5. Skatera Series - 6 fresh shapes for the ladies that include mini cruisers, hybrids, DH and freeride decks. Completes come with Attack Trucks, Biltin Bearings, Gnar Grip, and wheels from Abec 11, Pink, Retro, and subLIME. A few new wheel items include a series of baby blue wheels in the Pink lineup that are a little firmer than the pink ones. Park Formula P-52's - 96a Pink, and 99a Blue PolkaDots - 96a Pink, and 99a Blue Classic Formula PolkaDots - 78a Pink, and 81a Blue SickSicks - 78a Pink, and 81a Blue Seven-O's - 78a Pink, and 81a Blue Powerballs - 78a Pink, and 81a Blue A new flavor 72mm 81a Greasy FreeRide wheel by Liam Morgan I want to make a GREEN version of BertZ and PolkaDots in 81a Classic for minis and such. In addition to the 77a Pink and 80a Lime 107mm Flywheels that we already do in the Reflex Formula, we're adding a 74a Green wheel for the ultimate in super plush rides. We may even do an identical 78a in Classic to add some drift to the mix. The 78a would be a limited edition wheel for the limited number of super freaks. For the record, we haven't changed our Classic Formula in over 9 years, and we have no plans in doing so. We're still working on additional formulas, but Classic is to remain the same. Having said that, several months ago we did have a run of wheels that somehow came out "icy" and didn't lay down the thane lines that you've come to expect. It is extremely difficult to know what happened when the boxes of wheels from the bad batch were opened several weeks after they were poured. We brought it to the attention of people at the factory and have have made every effort to make sure that it never happened again. To the best of our knowledge it hasn't, but the lingering damage had already been done. We were deeply concerned and honored all returns. Please know that our Classic Formula is unchanged and that I will never cut corners, bait and switch, or do anything to compromise the brand and its performance. I apologize to anyone who suffered from the bad batch and for any confusion surrounding the incident. Onward and upward. 2012 will be the sickest year in gear ever. I'm completely pumped about what we're almost ready to unleash on the unsuspecting public. Stay tuned. Thanks!
Oh my god. Abec 11 is really going hard in 2012, and my wallet is going to be hurt. [editline]27th January 2012[/editline] that quote is straight from Chris Chaput himself, the owner of Abec 11. Liam Morgans wheels sound alright. My friend just got some Pink 7-0's and apparently they are amazing.
Guess I better start saving. Liam Morgans wheels sound alright. Which really isn't a bad thing but they're going back to straight classic thane. Also blue 81a pink wheels, I'm so stoked.

My friend had Pink Powerballs that didn't leave any thane lines. He is a craaaaaaaaazy shredder aswell. Going into standies at like 65k and pulling them off, like 22m long. ordered me some sector 9 BHNC rasta slide gloves
ordered me some sector 9 BHNC rasta slide gloves
lift those fingers up! i have to replace mine since I always loan mine to friends when I do slide clinics for them. Fast stand up slides are scary as shit without gloves.
gotcha man i'm gonna duct take the fingers
gotcha man i'm gonna duct take the fingers
Good idea. If this is your first set definitely do that till you get the hang of it, than it'll be natural to lift them.

They look like fine decks.
does the hybrid have kicks? looks like a fun deck if it does [editline]29th January 2012[/editline]
this gay ass snow is starting to clear up cant wait to break out the WOLF SHARK
http://www.weather.com/weather/5-day/Lexington+Park+MD+20653 Be jealous. And the only day I work this week is thursday haha, its been like ultimate skate weather so far this year.
How much did you snag them for? Hybrid came with gullwings and abec 5 bearings(upgraded to bones reds) and i dont remember what wheels they have, all i know is that they are Arbor. The Hybrid was my first board but it doesnt flex so its not such a smooth ride, but the Assault is my favorite and the smoothest ride ever. I can go on forever talking about the Assault, best board ive ever ridden.
does the hybrid have kicks? looks like a fun deck if it does
If by that you mean it has a kicktail and nose, then yes it does

Got my board, fuck yeah. Gonna go practice at a garage later. It feels nice, but is my front foot ok if it's almost straight (like 10 degrees) when I'm trying to kick for speed?
I wish the temperature was higher, so I could stain my board and get it rolling again.
I just got my first board! Can't wait to try it out!
I wish the temperature was higher, so I could stain my board and get it rolling again.
Yeah, it's barely 40F here in NYC and the wind isn't exactly cooperative. Making life kinda hard.

The "grip tape" on my Arbor Koa Fish is starting to come off, how would i replace it? It doesn't really have a layer of grip tape like other boards...
The "grip tape" on my Arbor Koa Fish is starting to come off, how would i replace it? It doesn't really have a layer of grip tape like other boards...
Is it sand particles suspended in polyuerathane?
Is it sand particles suspended in polyuerathane?
Most arbor boards have crushed glass as the grip tape, its an eco friendly brand so yeah
Solid 45ish today, finally got toeside slides dialed pretty well. 10ft toeside is scary as fuck but god damn does it feel good to come out of a slide like that.
longboarded today fuck yeah winters dick is shriveling up
hell yeah 57 today and 60 tomorrow
Weather's going up in the city, starting some check slide practice. I've had enough carving for a life time, I need to seriously start working on my freeride skills.
