Where is Blasphemy that he read the bible of 30 years and rewote the entire book at Alachatraz
People find ways to make anything seem much worst than it actually is. Or even things that aren't bad at all.
Catholic moms for instance
The Bible can be used both ways. It causes wars but it can also bring alot of people together to form peace. It really depends on how it's used. In a situation like this, it does more good than bad.
Thats a good way to put, I think Facepunchers are so used to bashing religion they don't look at the good sides of it and bringing people together.
WWI anyone
Guys, I think the OP has gone insane or something.
How so
Honestly, your posts are badly worded and have bad grammar. Yet, you have 3.1k posts, something's not adding up.

The strong Christianity in it was acceptable because Denzel Washington was a badass and cut off peoples' heads and hands. Also [sp]that whole farm house seen with the cannibal couple w/ Eli and the girl was so surreal that I just thought it was awesome[/sp] :v:
[sp] guns millions of them under a fucking couch wow [/sp]
[sp]No she can't, she was born post-war thus she wasn't educated enough to read it. Only Eli could because he was alive before the bombs.[/sp]
[sp]She even says "It's been so long, I can't remember how" or something along those lines. She knew how, and I'd be willing to bet as far as the story goes, she knows how, she just didn't want to tell Carnigie.[/sp] [editline]11:07PM[/editline]
[sp] guns millions of them under a fucking couch wow [/sp]
That part was fucking hysterical. The whole theater was cheering and clapping when he did that.
[sp]Yes thats the truth she was fucking with him cause he was dying of infection from his gunshot wound[/sp]
When I saw the trailer the main thought going through my mind was "please, please, don't be a religious film...please don't be a bible". I was really hoping it would be something actually useful, and valuable...like a set of methods for sustaining life, cleaning water, or perhaps even it lead to the location of some place unaffected by the bombs. Thanks for the spoilers though, I'm glad I didn't waste my money.
I really not about the Bible it how it can bring people to get her or what not

I don't fucking complain when they have a movie that openly mocks religion, why are you freaking out over something that has a bible in it, especially considering the "crazy" concept that religion might help unite people when they have nothing to unite for?

Think world fucked buy nuclear war some guy wants to unite people to be kind so he uses maybe one of the last bibles to tell the stories and lessons learned

I'm atheist and a good christian friend of mine knows I'm the first one to tease him about it, but the movie was excellent. So shut up, and go watch a damn good movie. Bring popcorn too.
It was awesome!

Jesus EVEN AN ATHEIST SAYS IT GOOD MOVIE AND IT HAS THE BIBLE IN IT
Because religion overall causes more problems than it solves, and most people would rather have a cool movie rather than a missionary.
You know, back in the early days of Christianity, they were actually really nice people, did you know that? They were persecuted and tortured for their beliefs, sure, but they were extremely united in their ideas. This is the same concept, only applied to a post-apocalyptic society.
