Hey, Ak'z you should encourage people posting reviews.
correct:
Track 2 by Caynug is right up my street.
Track 2 by Caynug is right up my street.
It's possibly the most accessible of the lot, imo. Great track.
Can I still be involved in the next project somehow if the only instruments I own are a cheap electric guitar and some cheap electronic drums and the only recording equipment I have is the microphone that came with Rock Band?

I can also steal my brothers acoustic guitar when he isn't home.
Yes. I have none of those.
Cool. I've written songs before, but I've never actually made an attempt to record. Also, this was the song I was supposed to submit to the album, but I guess I submitted it wrong or something, but feel free to listen to it anyways. I would like to know if it would have fitted the album's atmosphere.
People reckon it's better than the Ratings LP?
People reckon it's better than the Ratings LP?
They'd better. :argh:
To be totally honest, Akayz's works were my least favorite. Not to say they were bad, just not up to par with some of the better ones included.
I wouldn't mind contributing to another collab, just for fun sometime. All I've got is an acoustic though, no amp or recording stuff other than a shit mic. Are other collaborators in a similar state, or would I just be a drag on the proceedings? [editline]4th November 2011[/editline] I would write a proper length review for the sake of the artists, but electro techno ambient stuff isn't my cup of tea. I will say that a few songs could have been shorter and sweeter, and that the production and style shouldn't have leaned so heavily in one direction. Space is a pretty wide theme to base music on, no need to keep everything echoey and below a certain tempo and so on.. Some departure from the prevailing overall feel of the album would have made it much more interesting for me.
review
Nice review. Could have commented more on the sounds, rather than how catchy each song is. But if some don't rock your boat, I have no problem with it. At least you gave it a better rating than the last one. :v:
Thanks.

There are however a few songs done with real instruments and most of them have ok quality. If people want demos they'd scroll through the thread. There is quite a lot of the "stripped down" versions there. :v:

If people want stripped down versions, I'll link them.
thisispain's song is fucking great. Kudos to him.
it's kind of like Bibio's song, it's very good. Anyone else wish to review it?
If people want stripped down versions, I'll link them.
Having read the album thread, I'd like to hear a few of the songs that were left out.
Having read the album thread, I'd like to hear a few of the songs that were left out.
Here are some of the original works and unedited versions of people's tracks. I had to balance the sounds on some of them because they were simply too loud and noisy.
And I'm doing what every other news reporter is.
See, everyone's in their right place.
Need more albums.
This album fits so many moods for me, Space Satellites and For Earth for working on projects, Kinetic for winding down! Gotta keep listening, but great so far! edit: Yurko, you make my mind trip and feel happy. Kai, your song made me realize how short life is :v:
